how do the options choices affect the production date?

Well, I know first hand that Grey or silver paint results in a 4-6 month delay…..

So your saying that there will be a 4-6 month delay for Grey or Silver even though they are now producing both?

I haven’t heard of any silver VIN being issued. Supposed to be Q2. Have you? For grey, we are in month 7 of a 2-4 month delivery, so yes, it was delayed at least 4 months. Silver more.

I believe Ramsnazz was asking about future orders and the Silver is suppose to be started next month; however, the recent flyover shows a couple silvers in the holding area. I don't think it is right to tell possible future buyers to expect 4-6 month delays unless you have info others don't.

Speculation that there are silvers as the long range pictures can’t positively identify.. Again, no one on the board has reported a silver VIN Which would happen long before you see a vehicle. Have you confirmed one? If not then, no silvers. Still delayed. Nor do I expect them before Q3 which would be a 4-6 month delay.

So your saying don't expect silver and Grey's until late Sep to late November?

This was your response to Ramsnazz on possible future delays

When i confirmed 3/30, agt, silver, tahoe,19, my lucid person said silver will start july. On lucid web site it says silver starts q3 today. Are you saying silver will start more like q4?

Website says “Q3”, so maybe July, maybe August, maybe September. Who really knows? All I can say is that I was told 2-4 months back in the middle of November and I am now seven Months since confirmation. I was told “2-6 weeks from VIN date, but we are running closer to three”. I am three weeks from VIN and my car is still in production in Casa Grande. There is a slim to no chance for me to take delivery within that six week timeframe given Inspections and logistics. Lucid has no clue and will not revise my delivery estimate, even when they acknowledge that there is very little chance to make it.

Bottom line, take whatever timing they give you with a grain of salt and try not to get too optimistic. If you have no expectations on timing, you are probably better off and won’t be disappointed.

Maybe they are finally learning not to state best-case numbers as they did with their first two production projections.

Yes, when you are least expecting, they will call you all the sudden telling you your car is already here. Concierge will deliver when you process your payment.

Website now says Q4.

swap the word Lucid in place of Rivian and we are all Jeff Wells…

Rivian has more supply chain challenge than Lucid. But they are facing even bigger volume of orders.

You can thank Vladimir Putin for that getting their supply sanctioned. One of key ingredients for battery making.

The raw materials shortage seems to be improving in the coming months. Interest rate hike is still needed more to curb demand curve and inflation.
