Another Update:
First, thanks!
1. Plugged, unplugged- not hot at all. So not feeling like fire risk
2. Didn’t attempt to charge for days, let car run down, then went to FPL supercharger. Worked great. Charged 75 miles in 15 minutes. No problems
3. Plugged last night, problem started again. Couldn’t even charge at 20.
4. Did an overnight schedule, it stopped.
Will be calling Service this am.
Wondering now if the problem lies with the charging cable.
I don't pretend to know the specific problem on your Air. Let me share some data from my AGT:
> a week after I took delivery of my AGT in Oct 2022, I notice that it wasn't charging at home, but charges fine at EA fast chargers.
> I called Lucid for service. They sent out a mobile tech. The tech examined my home charging setup, plugged/unplugged my home charger, wiggled a bunch of things, and told me that my NEMA 14-50 receptacle was not up to snuff, and I must replace it with a heavy- duty receptacle. I did all of that, but the problem persisted.
> I took the car into the Scottsdale service center. They looked at it for about 3 days and told me they have to replace the Wubderbox and the battery (yes, the whole battery pack in the car).
> remember this was Oct 2022, not long after Lucid started delivery of the Air.
> Lucid flew a couple of engineers from CA to Scottsdale as the local techs had no experience with replacing the whole battery pack and the Wunderbox. They worked on it for almost two weeks and completed the job. My AGT have worked fine since then.
Similarity with your experience:
> works fine with high power DC charging but doesn't work properly with home (AC) charging. Assuming you have exhaustively checked your NEMA 14-50 installation, the symptom seems to suggest a problem with the Wunderbox.
If your friends/neighbors have an EV you can try charging with your AC charger, do that. If the AC-charges fine on a different EV but not on your Air, but your Air charges fine with DC charging, then, the Wunderbox is the likely suspect.
