Eye monitoring

I get notifications about the eye monitoring system not detecting me when my steering wheel is turned such that the sensors are blocked. You would think the car should be smart enough to figure this out and not bother me.

I get your frustration, however it's a feature, not a bug. I don't want the system deciding why the eye monitoring can't see me - if it tells me and I am ok with that incidence, I ignore it. We can turn it off and (wonder of all wonders) it will remember that setting for future drives.

Yeah, that's how it works... Goes away when the squircle goes back to the horizontal position or when you move your hands from blocking the camera's view

It’s telling you this because while it can’t see your eyes it cannot monitor your attention, so various features will not work while it cannot see your face.

If it didn’t tell you that, you’d be stuck wondering why various features didn’t work.

You just can't make this stuff up... It protects you from not knowing you aren't protecting yourself... Thankfully, it doesn't care how fast you're going!

I’ve always been a rest hand on top center of wheel guy. I’ve had to adjust that, but not a huge deal.

The gravity has turned you into a safer driver. It prevents your hand hitting your face at 200 mph if the airbag goes off.
