I think I've seen other folk mention they can't get "Tow Mode" to engage. I have the opposite problem on day 2 of ownership. I can't get my GGT to get out and stay out of tow mode.

I have the tow package, but nothing is installed, no receiver no nothing. But even after a soft boot and a hard boot, the vehicle keeps reverting to tow mode; with all sorts of messages about DreamDrive not being available and initiating a light test. When I push any of the other drive modes, it asks me to confirm that I want to leave, then asks me whether the receiver is installed. Despite answering affirmative to the first and negative to the second, it seems to slip right back into tow mode if I sit there a bit. And when I press the brake, in say smooth, I see a little graphic come up on the wide screen with a trailer icon and a bar to measure something, like a horizontal volume level indicator.

Anyone have this and figure out a self fix?

Thanks.

Guess I'm alone in this particular glitch. It has stuck around, despite a few reboots and a couple of overnight naps.

I have the exact same issue? Any as you said, there is now work around ..any clues how to fix it ?

Sorry for typos .. I am seeing the same issues as you and am wondering if there are any work arounds to disable Towing completely ?

I have not figured that out. I'm going to take it into the SC in January. I'm guessing there is a physical circuit telling the system that the trailer hitch is installed and engaged? Although odd that the issue then didn't show up for the first 36 hours or so of ownership. I was on 3.3.20 to start and now 3.3.22.

Kind of glad to hear I have company.

You shouldn't. They do.
I don’t think they do very much or they pass stuff to fix later. Way too much leaves the factory in poor condition, particular fobs and frunks. Somewhere the decision was made to ship the Gravities and fix it later.

That is not correct. They test extremely extensively. But at some point, there are limits to that testing. The important part is updating that testing when issues are found in the real world.

Going back to the original post. This problem is likely similar to many Gravity software issues that can be resolved by activating the extremes of whatever it's complaining about.

Unfortunately in this case that means attaching the receiver, hitching a trailer and plugging in the trailer harness, adjusting the brake gain by driving around with said trailer and then undoing everything.

No problem, easy peasy:)

Except no trailer yet. And the one they show on the screen is from Lucid, so I think I will have to wait for a while!

Seriously, finally took it in today. Will report on progress upon receipt. Other that that, car/truck/suv/van is awesome.

So got the vehicle back today. SC confirmed the problem(so I'm not nuts, at least not for this issue)

Per the service ticket, they did a LVBJ-R and VCU hard reset, but issue persisted.

After engineering review, should be fixed in the 3.4.0 software release expected next week.
