To be fair I’ve heard some amazing bullshit from sales advisors/techs people have talked about here.I am just surprised that, unsolicited, another Lucid employee went so far as to tell me how my car's CCCv1 was the 7th iteration, and the last one before the change to CCCv2, and that was why he was not surprised that I was quite satisfied with my level of responsiveness.
I guess mine just performs better because my car likes me more!

Gentlemen, please. There is a way you can both be wrong. There may be other changes to hardware than just the CPU. Please revel in the possibly that the other person can still be wrong.
That said, people in most departments tend to have incorrect information about what an engineer says. They are not lying, but just misunderstanding.
I'm going to get this upgrade with the hope that it does not introduce issues since i don't have any software bugs right now. I really hope UX 3.0 comes to the Air because we just got a new 3 row electric SUV. If Lucid can get better QA for their software, there is a huge upside to the stock, but i do appreciate that, unlike Tesla owners, people here are not fanboys pretending their automatic wipers actually work.
I really like the way this car drives. It's way better than every tesla in every way except software. Let's hope this does not turn out to mirror Fisker.

Oh, I don't mind being wrong. It's happened before, and at 76, I hope I have a whole bunch of errors to come. Not to belabor this, but I would never quote what a sales rep or customer service person told me, as I get that there is a lot of hearsay out there... or dare I say 'fabrications'? In my case, a service tech plugged my car into his computer and said something like: "Interesting. You've got...".
To me, this seems to be just another one of the many ways that people's experience differs wildly from car to car. I don't think of myself as the soul of patience, so I'm surprised to think that some people were so unhappy with their lag times that they would shell out a thousand bucks for the fix, and I wouldn't go out of my way to do so if it were free. To your point, maybe there are other factors afoot.

The point made was the chip was obsolete when the car was shipped not after. This makes a big difference and on top Lucid wants to charge for that. I have an upcoming appointment to check the camera lag and if i am going to hear its software i may have to go to NHSTA to report the safety concern i have. Last week i near missed a rear end situation due to camera lag. And yes it is an assistive feature but it has to work or Lucid have to put a message on the screen “use at your own risk”

I especially noticed glitchy sound after increasing the playback speed. I usually listen to podcasts at 1.4x. I would have to cycle it had to normal speed to get it to correct but since the upgrade, its never been a problemAnd here I was blaming 2.8.17 for the poor playback.... It did get better all by itself but it may have been the app update
