I have 21/22’s and the car came with the lug cap set. I’m still waiting on the correct wheel covers which have the bear logo in them (currently have Lucid logo). Was told they should be available early next year.

Have you pulled your covers yet tho? The wheels are probably scratched all to hell. I pulled mine at 1500 miles and they are toast. Can’t buff either, it’s mirror polished wheels. I’m going to cover the areas with 3M clear repair tape when I reapply the covers so it doesn’t get worse.

Does creep work as expected in the Gravity? In the Air, it still brake holds, you have to tap the accelerator, get a warning it’s in creep mode, then it creeps kinda janky, only one time, then never again. It’s not at all like creep is supposed to be were it simulates an automatic transmission.

As long as I remember to change it to CREEP every time I "start" the car, yes, it's working well and consistent so far.

It's pretty strong regen in Standard. So strong that I'm struggling a little so far to match the right accelerator press when dropping out of ACC. It can be like throwing a tethered anchor out the window if you don't get the pedal up to the same speed to effect a gradual slowdown when cancelling ACC.

And I hate to say it, but if someone is on the bubble and hasn't ordered yet, I don't know how one could not seriously consider waiting for Lucid to sort some of these hardware and build issues out.

Was this a DE? if so some of that likely has already been addressed.

This was a DE delivered June 30. I'm sure many of these issues have been resolved. I didn't push on any of this until the 2nd row seat jammed and DreamDrive stopped working due to the steering wheel issue (conveniently the same week).

They went cheap. On a 100k dollar car

I haven't pulled it myself, but I think this was a "we can get away with straight gasket material that we work around the curves" when they need a custom molded piece. (Our X has a custom-modeled piece, although it's kinda garbage from an isolation standpoint.) From a functional perspective, this is great. It's just weird to have these huge obvious bubbles in the corners of the all windows. Check out any showroom model; it'll be the same.

I suspect this will eventually be resolved with a part rev. Service was clear that this was within spec and a replacement wouldn't change it, which is all I can ask from them.

In the Tesla app at the top right select the three horizontal lines, select charging, select Membership.

I think creep+regen feels very natural on the Gravity and it's as it should feel. I'm not sure how it is in the Air as I've never driven one.

I wish they let you change the mode while driving too... I like using creep for parking and backing out of the garage but would like some way to hold at stoplights.

After using a loaner Air I found they had a Tap-to-Creep which worked well to me too.

In the Air, auto lock and auto unlock can be set independent of each other.
It looks like for the Gravity, both functions have to be on or off together.
I can’t find a way to disable only the auto unlock function.
Any workaround for this?

I was talking with a Tesla Model X owner during an event on Christmas Eve.
I told them about my Gravity and they wanted to check it out.
As predicted: he were blown away.
He had told me that his wife wants a newer version.
However, as they were leaving the event, the wife says to me "I hear you have a nice car".

While listening to the video, Kyle makes a very interesting comment at the 23:42 mark about the Gravity relative to the Tesla, that will probably be made ad infinitum :

So, in the context of that, we are all talking about the Lucid Gravity and the software problems we had with that car and how buggy it was. And I'm over here saying to the rest of our crew here, "Hey guys, don't forget this car had major issues as well. And it's almost 10 years old.

I’ve got this issue as well and Lucid couldn’t find it. It’s not extremely loud but enough to be annoying and typically only happens at high speeds.


The HUD is a bit of a disaster. One drive it’s clear another drive it can be blurry. It’s horrible at light detection so constantly adjusts brightness. I’ve never experienced a HUD where the slightest movement of your head causes double vision on it. As far as the blue ovals showing up, “deal with it” is basically the message I got from Lucid. Compared to HUD’s I’ve had on other vehicles this is by far the worst.

So, I’ve had my Gravity in my possession for only two days, havng picked it up from the PPF/ceramic coating installers on Friday.

On my second day in, I’ve switched off the HUD because it’s poorly placed for my sitting position, and because of the unstable graphics. A pity, really, since I know I held out for a few more months just so I could get my GGT with the “tech package”. I haven’t been beleaguered by the blue ovals yet.

The rattle I’m hearing happens more often on rougher surfaces, like uneven patches on paved roads. If I were to put it to anything, I believe the noise is coming from the plastic or glass panel that covers what I believe is the guts of the HUD (projector?). To address this post delivery, my delivery advisor told me to expect a call from our local service centre, with their earliest availability being early February. Yikes!

Another day, another bug.

Arriving home today in our first Gravity, the Homelink button would not respond and bring up the door opening menu. I tried the other buttons on the right side of the glass cockpit, and none of them were working, either. The satellite map, though, continued to reflect the car's movement on the cockpit screen.

While some of the bugs have changed, I've seen no net reduction in the number of bugs since downloading 3.3.20. (3.3.22 hasn't yet been pushed to this car, although our newer Gravity received it five days ago.)

My rear passenger door handle has suddenly stopped retracting when it’s locked. A hard reboot didn’t fix it, and I don’t really hear or see it trying to retract when I lock the doors.

Is a mobile* service appointment in my future or is there some other trick folks have tried that can get a lame handle working again?

*I hope it can be mobile because my car was just transported back to me yesterday after a 10 day vacation at the SC (most of which was just waiting for transport back)

If I can ask, how much was the PPF? Did you do the whole car or just the front? Thinking of getting it done.

Nope. This is also the only one of our three Lucids in which Homelink geofencing does not work. It's also the one in which the music buttons have gotten frozen from time to time and will not access the music menu.

This car is an endlessly-replenishing smorgasbord of software gremlins.

Watching a movie, car parked outside, live in a gated community. Started hearing a car alarm, thought it sounded awfully close, turns out it was my car. Rushed to get my keys with phone in hand and was able to unlock the car with the phone. Went outside to check, nothing happened. Nothing inside the car (like the last time the alarm went off it was because my visor fell off the windshield). Put the movie back on, 10 minutes later, the damn alarm went off again. Rushed to get my key again and ran outside. Nothing happened to the car. Went inside the car again, had to switch my profile to myself again from guest, which is weird considering I’m using the same key I always have. Did a reboot and turned off halo secure. If this keeps up, there is no living with this thing if it randomly sets off the alarm. Any ideas? On 3.3.20, haven’t gotten the newest update pushed yet.

This happened to me and it just corrected itself. I didn’t even call it in.
Don’t know if it was a hard reset overnight or if opening it once made it remember it was in teh open position.
