Lucid Gravity 5,000 Mile Review! The Best Driving SUV Crippled By Software Annoyances

I would have to say so far we've been pretty fortunate from skimming through the forums occasionally and watching some videos. Our DE and GT (just picked up last weekend) so far have been pretty good with regards to the fob and keycards, wake/sleep, and general SW. I think I've only had to do the reset for the DE like 3-4 times total and haven't had to since 3.3.5-3.3.9.

Peter is still on the payroll as an advisor. It's clear the company needs to start acting like they are going to be a successful higher volume brand based on the mid-size and needs to 'grow up' so to speak from a management and process standpoint when releasing cars.

An advisor to the chairman of the board. Not to the company at large, or even to the entire board.

Lucid headlamps get extremely hot, and the Gravity is missing the hood vents the Air had for the purpose of facilitating airflow over them. I wonder if Lucid is using a thermostatically-controlled fan to cool the headlamps?

Hmmm. We've had an Air for four years, and neither I nor my partner nor anyone who has ever been around the car has noted it . . . and I've spent a lot of time cleaning the windshield and working around the front of the car while the headlamps were on.
 
? I guess there is no scenario where I've had both the AC and music off, but I have certainly never heard that noise in the Air after 2+ years of ownership. If absolute silence is what it takes to hear a slight noise, then not sure if it's really relevant? Late 20s here, so either this is BS or only happens on select cars.

driving our Gravity for 4+ months and it’s vault quiet. No noise from headlamps. I am fairly sensitive to these sounds and sure, I have all the bugs and other issues, but headlamp noise is not an issue I’ve ever heard before the review.

It seems if you don’t hear it but are then told what to listen for you’ll hear it. I therefore don’t need to be told what to listen for as I currently don’t hear it 😂

So in Kyle’s words, I’ll pretend I’m over 70 and deaf! 😂

This is exactly why I didn't want the tech or comfort packages, or DDpro for that matter. Ordered everything else and just DDprem (did want the blind spot cams and aerial view for backing in) but those other pkgs all seemed like fluff to a guy that likes to really drive the car and could care less about soft close doors, retracting rear window shades, foo foo light strips, and windshield cartoons or even immature sketchy "self driving" software tugging on my wheel when changing lanes to go around slow-ass idiots in the passing lane or bitching at me for looking out the side window to check the waves or god forbid driving me into a ditch (like my buddy's Tesla did to her!)
Hoping to focus my love of this vehicle on awesome driving dynamics, kick ass sound, and getting there in way less time.

I heard the high pitch in the GGT loaner I just had but nothing with mine
 
I feel compelled to post my very positive experience with the first 6 days of Gravity GT ownership. Two years of Air GT prior to this, I am accustomed to warning banners popping up and minor delays with certain commands. My key fob works, I did have to enable proximity lock and unlock in the setting menu of the pilot screen but it has been flawless. I will welcome PAAK when it goes live as it relieves the need to carry the fob. The dream drive pro works like I had hoped the Air's would. This seems to be the amazing car Lucid promised.

He says BMW's new vehicles will "seal the fate of Lucid." Although he admits he hasn't driven a Lucid Gravity.

He trashes Marques Brownly as not being a car guy but then goes on to make opinions based solely on other internet info (clickbait) and not ever have driven one himself.
