Gravity 3.3.8 Released

Agree wholeheartedly with the middle paragraph. Once in the car and motoring down the highway, the car is unbeatable in terms of dynamics, ride, comfort, etc. But that’s the rub, isn’t it?

Friends have asked to check out the car and for me to take them for a drive so they can experience the car I’ve been raving about. Nearly every time I do that, I’m either locked out due to fob issues, standing there like a fool in front of chuckling friends, or, if I do manage to unlock the car in those instances, I’m forced to wait for blank screens to resolve before I can drive away. On one instance, there were five of us, and one wanted to ride in the third row to experience the legroom back there. Alas, my malfunctioning middle row seat mechanism doesn’t allow the seat to move far enough forward for anyone to enter or exit the third row at all. The person had to take my word for it and join the other two folks sitting in the middle row (somewhat tight but comfortable enough). Once I do get moving and start talking about all the other amazing features, I find I’ve lost my passengers’ enthusiasm, as they’re now fixated on why (and how) such fundamental things as key access and screens and seats can be so unpredictable or downright broken on an otherwise great car. That’s their takeaway.

Super frustrating. I want to be an advocate, but many attempts to do so have resulted in the opposite effect. My demos are repellent, so I’m now avoiding them until more software issues (and my middle row seat issues) have been addressed 🥴
I am right there with you on this. I had two friends super super interested in the gravity and I just had gotten it back from the SC for the failed drive units last Friday. Went to show them the 3rd row seats on monday and boom 2nd row jammed again. 3rd time now. So now the 2nd row is stuck and the 3rd row isnt accessible. They didnt even want to go for a ride at that point.

Word on the street is that Lucid was trying to get an update out by the end of this week. Anyone heard anything on that?

I was just wondering about this. It has felt like ages since 3.3.8 was released and pulled.

I won't like though, 3.3.5 has been pretty good for me minus displays. I hope 3.3.9 solves this. I hate getting into the car and pretending I'm looking at my phone before driving off.

I don’t think it solves the possible black screen on boot up (I got it today and it didn’t fix it for me) but it makes the inputs consistent now. Before some screen taps wouldn’t register or it would only half load the screen you chose, like half the screen options would be missing.

In reading the note about the screen, it’s hard to know if it was intended to address the black screen issue some folks have or this responsiveness. I was wondering about the intent. I’ve really not had the black screen issue for quite some time (weeks).

Installed 3.3.9 successfully. Not getting in the car
until tomorrow, though. I hope it fixes the hurricane-force winds when entering -- it's getting to be cold season here!

The Lucid gods have spoken… and apparently they said “Update now.”
Happy to report that my Gravity successfully installed 3.3.9 without exploding, rebooting into the metaverse, or trying to connect to the toaster.

The update fairy did its thing, everything went smoothly, and the car is now officially smarter than I am.
Will post updates assuming the car lets me. 😄🚘⚡

Thank all you early adopters! I think I will wait a few days haha. 3.3.5 has been good to me.

not being offered for me :(
It can take a couple days or week+ as they roll out updates. As more and more Gravity are on the road, I expect that will be the time frame versus the almost all at once months ago.

It does not fix that, but I’ve found if you use the app to set the climate 10 minutes before getting into the car you won’t have your hair blown back and go deaf, unlike getting into the vehicle on a cold day without setting the climate ahead.

It also does not fix the black screen thing, at least for me. But the black screen lasts maybe 10-15 seconds then it loads my profile perfect including the correct Lucid Vibes color. I’ve found if it doesn’t do the black screen thing it’s much more likely it won’t load with the right color.

It definitely fixed screen input outcomes being unpredictable though and switching between screens. It did not fix the HVAC auto button seeming to hate you and not activating unless you tap a few times and then not doing what it should when activated.

I installed it last night when I went to bed and it said it was successful. Today i noticed the Key Fob tab on the mobile app and selected it. It looked like an update might be needed so I followed the directions and checked both fob’s - both didn’t need an update. Maybe Lucid can tweak the app to say if a new fob update is available or put in the release notes if a fob update was also released or not.

So far so good. It feels like the screens wanna load up faster on entry. But I think I'll give it a week and see, something about memory leaks from the smart guys.
