It switches off individual pixels to block the light for each specific oncoming vehicle while keeping the other pixels on high beams. A much more spohisticated and effective solution. This still sounds like high beam assist.

Adaptive lighting would be something like part of your regular beams illuminating the road in front of you, while it actively excludes the region around an oncoming car.

(In practice it can also exclude cars traveling in the same direction in front of you, too)
 
Passed by the San Diego service center today and someone was getting a very nice looking white/stealth/Yosemite Dream Edition on 22/23s delivered today. Again tempted to try for a white instead of black.
 
Does anyone know if the Mojave black Purluxe (or whatever they call it) also has the “burlap” on the arm rests of the door? My wife is considering a non-leather change for her GGT, but I can’t stand that material. I have Tahoe, so I don’t have it, but that material is on the side of the center console and I just don’t get why they use it anywhere someone could touch…Lucid did such a fantastic job in other parts of the interior.

Pretty sure all the Purluxe have that, even the premium ones.

It does. The Mojave and Yosemite Premium both have the same materials just in different colors.

I looked at a Gravity with the Mojave interior a couple of weeks ago, and can confirm that the door card is covered with the same "burlap" fabric as our Air Pure has.

With regard to your remark that you "just don't get why they use it anywhere someone could touch," have you ever actually driven a Lucid with that material covering the door card? As I said, our Air has it; it has never been uncomfortable at all for my forearm---nor has anyone else in my family ever complained about it.

(The only reason I switched from Yosemite to Tahoe for our Gravity order was that I was worried that my children would get the light-colored fabric dirty and I wouldn't be able to clean it.)
 
There were discussions about where to put the toll pass transponder and the answer was it should be in the small rectangular area just left of the passenger side sun visor. I tried to identify the area with the car in the garage and wasn't able to find it. I then used a flashlight and you can see the area immediately, very obvious. I tried to take a picture, but the picture is no good because light glare.

None with specs I want. They built a lot of white ones with low spec and/or missing some features I won't live without.

I assume you are referring to the arm rest on the door. That's part of the door card.

Regardless, my point is that---in my experience (which based on a lot of time actually spent resting my forearms on the arm rests)---the fabric is not uncomfortable to the touch. If people don't like the way it looks, that's a different matter.

It's VERY uncomfortable.

We configured online, then went to the showroom for a test drive. The FIRST thing my wife said when sitting in Gravity with Perluxe Premium was "what is on the arm rest!?!" We almost cancelled our order, but the salesperson pointed out that the leather interiors didn't have the burlap on the armrest, just the door panel.

Of the two leathers, the Tahoe was the only one that was OK. So, we reconfigured and didn't cancel. But Lucid almost lost a sale over the burlap on the arm rest.

Maybe some people are more sensitive than others, maybe some people wear long sleeves all the time, I dunno. But it truly would have been a deal killer for us.

When I ordered the Mojave Purlux Prem interior the SA made sure to warn me about the "burlap" (lol...great description BTW!) textured fabric or whatever on the armrest and asked me twice if I wanted a leather option instead. (If they offered a black leather option I'd have chosen that)
Guess others like yourself find that rough fabric super icky to the touch

If it weren’t ON the arm rest, I’d be okay - like it’s on the lower part of center console in my Tahoe interior. But yes, really don’t like the feel.

We have the Yosemite and we don't even notice the burlap on the armrests.

Mine too. It's always annoying, but especially bad when the car takes a while to wake up. The AC is blasting you in the face for an extended time, and there is no way to turn off the AC as the screens are still dark and the physical buttons are inoperative. I have a service appointment in a few weeks, but this feels like something that will take a software fix.
 
White gravity went into production on November 5th. My SA called pointing out that if the car was ready for delivery in November, the financing rate for well qualified buyers is 2.99 percent!
At that rate I will finance for 72 months. When you finance via Lucid, how long is quoted rate good for? Hope they offer the 2.99 percent for December. More probable that my car will be ready for delivery in December.
