We can now apparently update the fob thru the Lucid app ourselves now

Be careful. My fob was already updated, but when I got phone update, I just thought I’d double check and connect to fob. It did and said it was up to date.

Since then, I’ve gotten several key not detected errors and my fob has not reliably started car…

I had thought about just verifying my fob was good too but not going to do that now....

I think you should expect that the Air fob situation is as good as it's going to get, except perhaps for hardware improvements in a new model year. Having fob problems is a big enough deal that I think they've made every software fix they're able to by now. If that's not the case, then they should be relentless criticized for not having paid more attention to fixing an embarrassing defect.

The SC took care of the issue by reprogramming the FOB and replacing the battery. No issues or any bugs driving home. This is my first Lucid so can't reflect on any past experience but they were busy at the SC and took care of my vehicle and had time to look at a couple of other items in around an hour. I appreciated their style. Shout out to the Beverly Hills SC!

So did they say why you weren't able to update your fob with your phone? Asking because, I'm thinking you don't want to go to your sc every time there is a sw update that requires a fob update. You'd probably prefer to use your phone.

Just used my phone Lucid App to update my FOB…. Seemed to be working great afterwards. Looking forward to getting 3.3.8 update which so far hasn’t been offered.

I checked mine with the app and my fob has been working normally afterwards. Maybe it took a hit on your battery and you need to replace it?

I did replace it yesterday after typical battery reset didn’t work. Didn’t seem to have an impact, but a long night’s sleep may do the trick. We shall see.
