I'm new to Lucid, (Gravity X 2 weeks...) My app was an earlier version with no update available on my IPhone. I had to delete and then reinstall the app to get to version 2.10.0 Is a reinstall of the app typically required?

Wow! Super cool. Also was waiting for app update as every car OTA was preceded by an app update (so far)…

No. I’ve not had to reinstall the iOS app. Sometimes you have to “pull” the app update by going to the App Store and looking at the app, but I think that’s just because I am impatient and don’t wait for the notification.

I tried to do the update, the FOB would not connect to the phone, per instructions moved further away, shook the FOB, removed the battery... Still would not work. FOB no longer recognizes the car... Called customer service and have to take the vehicle to the SC. Folks were all very helpful they had me try a reset but no luck there... Proceed with caution

Bluetooth on and phone not connected to other nearby devices? My phone auto connected to my car (obviously not my GGT) audio system. Turned car audio system off, phone picked up fob, and update began.

I shook the FOB,

That…right there …was your mistake.

In all seriousness, some failures are to be expected. I haven’t seen anyone enabling this to begin with. Pretty cool and most folks who updated the app actually did it quickly.

Hope the SC fixes it.

Bluetooth on, initially my phone was connected to my wifi, turned that off still no FOB recognized... thanks for the suggestion

Mine worked fine and updated both fobs flawlessly. Way easier than making service do it.

@BSheppard do you have a different phone you can try? I’d give the phone a reboot too, and try the fob with a fresh battery just in case.

have you updated the app on your phone?...apparently there's an updated version on the app store (iOS)

Thanks for the suggestion, I had not tried a second phone. I have an appointment at the SC this AM, I am also going to pick up a second FOB.

Let us know what ended up being your issue.

Be careful. My fob was already updated, but when I got phone update, I just thought I’d double check and connect to fob. It did and said it was up to date.

Since then, I’ve gotten several key not detected errors and my fob has not reliably started car…

Just tried this, and it worked without any hitch.

Quite a relief.
