Saftey issue! Disable Cross Traffic alert (action at least)

The cross traffic alert nearly had me in an accident yesterday. I was turning right onto a two lane road out of a neighborhood and the cross traffic alert seemed to think the traffic moving in the street was a cross traffic danger and it kept blaring at me, and I'm like ok...you can stop that bc it's not what you are supposed to do, nor has it ever done that before to me, then when I tried to merge into traffic it slammed on the brakes and left my nose out in the lane and had the oncoming driver not swerved and stopped, my front end would have been taken off. Absolutely crazy. At the least, I suggest switching off the assisting action in that mode, if you don't disable it entirely. That way it doesn't slam the brakes on unexpectedly. Lucid, you need to address this mode better...

Yeah, I have it set to warn but not brake.
