That update was canceled.I was just checking my OTA updates on Lucid Tracker & saw 2.8.4 was only ⅔ loaded, Shows in red & end of bar says "Download Canceled". I was not aware of this & thought I had the full download. If I look at my Lucid iPhone app the app says our car is up to date with 2.8.4. What should I do? Also every time I try to send a message in Lucid Tracker I am informed "Send Failed". Anyone have any suggestions?
If the app is telling you the car has 2.8.4, why look at Lucid Tracker? What is the car itself telling you?I was just checking my OTA updates on Lucid Tracker & saw 2.8.4 was only ⅔ loaded, Shows in red & end of bar says "Download Canceled". If I am not mistaken, LucidTracker is giving what percentage of the fleet has been updated--not your individual car.I was just checking my OTA updates on Lucid Tracker & saw 2.8.4 was only ⅔ loaded, Shows in red & end of bar says "Download Canceled". 2.8.4 was pushed to some folks, but then Lucid cancelled further delivery of it due to some kind of problems.
Thus the annotation of 2/3 download/Cancelled.

A factory reset is what I would normally default to when selling a car to someone else. I am glad I saw this post. Is there a better method for removing/resetting profiles etc. for a new owner? (I looked but didn't see a post answering that. Apologies if there is one.)Never, ever, ever factory reset. Factory reset resets it to literally the state when it left the factory, software and all.
Your car will now almost certainly have to go to service so it can be updated to the latest software.
I’m sorry for the bad news
I did not have any issues when I factory reset my pre-owned '23 Touring after picking it up from the Costa Mesa studio. Can't speak for anyone else, but after I factory reset the car, the software version stayed the same version it was before the reset (ver. 2.7.1). I had to login my Lucid profile in the car again, redo all the preset configurations (i.e. seat settings, radio stations, homelink, etc.) and pair my phone again but everything worked well afterwards.A factory reset is what I would normally default to when selling a car to someone else. I feel like I have also done that successfully in the past.I did not have any issues when I factory reset my pre-owned '23 Touring after picking it up from the Costa Mesa studio. Same here, mine reset back to 1.4 or something like that. No issues. It updated to current in about 24 hours. If it was damaging Lucid wouldn’t let you do it.I’ve done a factory reset on mine. It’s perfectly fine
Okay, this is the new part then - it used to be that you'd have to go through every single prior update in order to get on the latest, so it was a terrible idea. I stand corrected if this is now possible.Just to circle back on this issue...one more data point: service instructed me to do the factory reset. I did it and it did indeed revert to 1.1.4. They then pushed 2.8.7 to me shortly thereafter. Was a single 90 min or so update and it was back to normal again.
You should be getting 2.8.7 any day now...2.8.4 has been considerably more unstable for me (even after hard resets). Seems like tidal crashes on the daily now. Hopefully this is addressed in a future update.
