When using Google Maps, both with Android Auto and CarPlay, when maps announces a turn, it mutes the car music. In my other cars when maps announces a turn, it lowers the music volume instead of muting it. Anyone know of a way to change this behavior with the Lucid Air? I have v2.8.4.

Make sure this is unchecked in Google Maps.

I tried this and still didn't work. The music is muted whenever maps announces a turn, etc. When using maps in my truck the music is just lowered and not muted. It appears to be tied to my Lucid.

Thanks for the suggestion.

That’s weird. What source are you using for music? It doesn’t happen for me with Tidal or Spotify native apps. Are you streaming over Bluetooth?

Yeah I get the Waze Speed Limit interruptions or direction, but it mutes the Youtube music on AppleCarPlay, although it does the same for radio or USB.

Does it do the same for Spotify, for example? You can use a free account; I’m just curious to see if we can isolate the behavior.

What iOS version?

Mostly using SiriusXM. Today I tried Spotify via Android Auto. Will try native Tidal and Spotify and report back.

Tried both in my truck and Lucid. Lucid mutes and my truck just lowers the volume of the music.

OK have tried SiriusXM, Tidal, Spotify, TuneIn, Android Auto (Streaming), and iHeartRadio. All of them gets muted. I even tried Waze instead of Maps and it is still the same. Same with my wife's Apple CarPlay. I guess this is just how it was implemented.

It definitely doesn’t do that for me last I checked, but I will try it tomorrow and see if I’m just misremembering. I almost always turn nav voice off, so I am not the most reliable source. But if it does work fine in mine, we could compare differences and figure it out.
