Does anyone know why it would say FEATURE UNAVAILABLE?

I read something about DDPro being a subscription on some earlier cars. Is that what this means?

I answered you in a DM.

No subscriptions.

One of three things:
1) The car does not have DreamDrive Pro, which is required for HFDA and LCA (DreamDrive and DreamDrive Premium do not include these)
2) The car needs to sleep and wake up again, as something didn't boot correctly
3) The car needs to see service because something is broken

To answer your followup question:

Okay. So the cars without DDPro will also show these menu options, right?
1 & 3 are not good. Do you have any idea if Lucid pulls the subscriptions off a leased car once the lease is finished?

Again, I reiterate - there are no subscriptions. The car either is or is not optioned with a package. That includes additional hardware for DreamDrive Pro, for example, which they absolutely will not pull out of a vehicle that has come off lease. If a car has DreamDrive Pro, it has DreamDrive Pro, period.

If the car needs service, I don't know about 'not good' but it's usually something simple like a camera replacement or a sensor has failed or something like that. Not a major issue.

I have no idea if non-DreamDrive Pro vehicles show these options, as I don't own any vehicles that don't have it.

Oh okay so if something is out of alignment that would allow those functions then it might display the same message. Is that correct?

I don't know what out of alignment means (wheels?) but yes, if a part of the system has failed (a camera, a sensor, a wire harness, etc.), then it would show those messages.

Here's an example: sometimes, but rarely, if my radar/laser system boots before my car, I will get those two messages, because the laser "sensors" in my system interfere with the car's LiDAR. If the car boots first, though, it's completely fine, because the LiDAR system and startup checks have already passed, and my radar/laser system is smart enough to not trigger on your own car's LiDAR.

So yeah, that sort of thing, even as minor as simply failing to boot up and 'self-test' correctly, can cause those messages to appear.

(Luckily, my radar/laser system takes forever to boot up, lol)

Since this appears to the the "unavailable" thread, any idea why my curb rash alert is unavailable (I have DDP if that matters)

Thanks for explaining all of that. The seller just sent me this:

I did a reverse image search and didn’t find any image exactly like this.

Thoughts? I can’t check it myself as the car is a thousand miles away.

I meant camera alignment or something along those lines. I’m spitballing here!

Something ain’t right here. The listing shows 13,358 and later to show me hands free driving was working he lost 11 miles. I guess the listing could be a typo.

That is what DreamDrive Pro Hands Free Drive Assist looks like. Ask him to let the car sleep and reboot and see if it comes back. If it doesn't, it needs service.

Or it's just an old picture.

It doesn't work in low-light conditions, so at night or in a garage or similar. In those situations, it will be unavailable (and look the same as the unavailable / disabled HF and LCA above).

If it doesn't work in the daylight, outside, you need to see service.

I have DD Premium: Hands Free Drive assist and Lane Change assist don't show up for me.

Thank you!

@bdunn so the options are it needs a sleep reset, or it needs service. :)
