Does anyone know if the adapter is compatible with other EVs as well? I have extra points, so I was thinking of getting one for my i5 too, but I wasn't sure if it would work with it

Yes. It should work fine as long as your i5 has the software upgrade required to communicate properly.

However, it may not qualify to BMW as a certified, by them, adapter.
