In order to win points from @Ron_Burgundy i picked up a 2045 coin cell at the grocery store and swapped batteries. So far the fob has worked as intended.

I wonder if the systematic failure here is that they do not ship the fob with the little piece of clear plastic that you pull out to allow the battery to contact the holder like when you buy a toy or something with batteries and the accelerometer is just draining these to death shipping to and from and by the time you get it, it’s dead.

That begs the question, if you know this is happening widespread, why don’t your deliver centers have a Costco sized case of 2045s and replace them before each delivery? It’s a $7 dollar annoyance to your new customer.

That was my original thought but when I watched it the window didn't go up and then come back down. It immediately retracted to half open. Then it immediately retracted to fully open. On the 4th try when it finally did go up it sealed and remained closed. Usually when Ive seen a sensor/ seal issue the window goes up, senses resistance, and then retracts. Am I missing something?

That is the precise behavior when you need your seal adjusted. As an alternative workaround, you can open the door and close the window; it will close on the first try with the door open.

Yep, this is what I do and it works. The seals are on the list to get done when they take my Gravity in.

This is also why I think my app keeps telling me the windows are open when they’re closed. Maybe they’re open 1/4” or something but I make sure they’re all as closed as I can make them before I get out…

I just brought back my car from the SC after 4 days to some due bill issues and run the key fob update. I have to say, I am disappointed as some the issues were not fixed.
- The driver and passenger doors make that weird clicking noise when pushed up to unlock. I was told it has to do with door seal and should just wear off over time and that other cars in the SC have the same issue? This doesn’t make sense to me as it only happens in 2 doors. I will try to attach a video.

- Frunk doesn’t open from the first time.
- Passenger side 2nd row seat doesn’t lay completely flat and have to push it down. Not a big deal but they should have fixed it.

The second row fold issue is typical, I think. I don’t believe it’s fixable and it is working as intended. Because the seats effectively fold with gravity (no pun intended), the only way to really make sure they fold flat and lock is to push them once they’ve moved toward being flat. I’ve seen this on the three demo Gravity I’ve seen and my own. Sometimes they have enough momentum to fall and latch, sometimes they don’t. Depends on the magnetic field around the center console…

On frunk - it’s a known latch issue with either the trim (which they dremel to make bigger) or alignment. Both can be fixed, but they can also come back as issues after being fixed.

I’ve heard video doesn’t work on mobile devices for some reason and I use my iPhone for the forum, so it’s probably just me. Folks using their PC probably have no issue.

I can’t seem to load the forum app on my iPhone but that’s a different issue.

These videos are visible on a computer but not on phone or iPad. This has been a known issue on this forum.

It may have just needed to be exercised. After running it through its paces 3 or 4 times it's now working normally. Each time got a little better.

Tried to leave this morning and sure enough my FOB was dead. With no key card reader the vehicle became an expensive brick. Fortunately a battery change rectified the problem. I've now got spare batteries in the glove box just in case. I got absolutely no warning on the display that the battery was low.

I picked up my GGT with new center console this afternoon.
Both key cards now allow car to go into drive and key fob is recognized from a greater distance than before sw/firmware update.

New behavior (for me) regarding blackout of right side of glass cockpit and pilot screen.

Got in car, main screen was fine and I could put it in drive and go. Other two screens never came on during the 10 minute drive.

I then reset when I parked. Main screen came right back, took about a minute for the right side glass cockpit and pilot screen to come on.

Those two screens are clearly infotainment in some software-defined way. Without them on, my seat didn’t adjust to my profile (which also can happen when they’re on!), Homelink shortcut on steering wheel didn’t work, no music played, etc.

Live View - it’s odd it’s not available while charging. That’s a big use case for me as I tend to leave my car and I’ve had folks mess with the cable or charge station to take the cable on our R1S and unplug it. Not being able to watch that is odd to me…

But then after the pilot screen turned on, i did not have the menu bar at the bottom, so i could only use the seat view that it turned on with. Could not switch to a different mode. Turned the screen off and on, pulled down teh quick menu, and it did not come back. Until… next time i started the car.

Sleep “solves” a lot of the bugs and I believe Lucid is working to squash them, but it takes time to to code, QA, etc and nothing is serious enough for a “hot fix” here.

Another odd one is creature comfort, which I use a lot. Car frequently gets stuck on it and I have to open and close driver door a few times to get it to turn off. In the Air, it turns off via a long press on the screen, overly complex, but it works. In R1S and X, it just turns off when you return to the car and push the brake.

Every time i get in my car, it is climate setting roulette. What climate is going to be on? Main? Seats? Neither? Both?!

Hmmm...I'm on a Macbook Pro and I can' seem to view his video either. I do however see the Reddit one he posted just fine

I dropped my car off at the Mechanicsville sc this morning for the console replacement.

Context:
The sc is located behind the main building of a local auto body shop.
Most of the buildings where work is done are behind a fenced area; some you can see before entering the fenced area.
Months before taking delivery of my Gravity I had visited the site to see the sc, but the gate to the fenced area was closed, so I did not see the actual sc.
During that visit I talked to an employee of the body shop who confirmed that Lucid rented a space behind their main building

The shop does body work and other service on all kinds of cars. After driving through the fenced area today I saw several Porsches, Audis, Teslas, Rivians, etc. around the various buildings. Then I saw what had to be the Lucid sc since there were three Airs parked nearby.
I couldn't believe my eyes.

Totally NOT what I expected to see.
An ammunition depot? A military bunker? No the Lucid Mechanicsville service center.
Two service techs had already come out while I remained in my car until just before my appointment time.
I had to take a picture.

I've been to the Tysons Corner service center.
The facility is fantastic.
What I was looking at was a stark contrast.
I respectfully mentioned to the service tech that the building what not at all what I was expecting, especially after having been to the Tysons Corner location and knowing the luxury branding of Lucid. He said the inside what nicer.
He proudly stated he enjoyed his work and had been at the location since 2022 when they were servicing cars as far north as the Maine and Vermont before the KOP and another service center opened.
He indicated that Lucid is considering new sc locations based on sales volume by state and region.
So, I hope this a temporary situation.
However, it has existed since 2022.

Does anyone else's service center look like what's shown below?
Should I not be surprised?

Situation in Denver is similar- They rent space at an autobody shop (one long bay, capable of 2 (maybe 3) cars. When we got the Air in 2022, there were so few Lucids in Colorado that it didn't seem like a problem. Now... I am a little concerned, given the increased numbers sold in the area (I think they service Utah as well). And since at least early 2023, various SC and Studio employees have told me that they're going to move to a bigger location real soon.
