They can do more than one thing at a time. And as much as some managers would like to believe otherwise, developers are not fungible. And as others have mentioned, the man-month is mythical.


The upper screen is in a great place for the driver's seat, and the center can show any aspect ratio without letterboxing. It would actually be a great place to watch CinemaScope movies.

I'm not sure where I saw it, but I had the impression the movies could (future) play on all three screens.

As for watching on phone or tablet, it's often hard to find a place to prop up a screen in the front of a car. We have the tray tables, but that means moving to the 2nd row.

Good point! Perhaps rear passengers don’t really need one.

I disagree. If you're going to be sitting around for 15 or 20 minutes while charging (or more if waiting for a charger to free up), being able to use the gorgeous screen in the Gravity seems like a nice feature.

Not to mention the competition is doing it and Lucid needs to be competitive to convince people to buy into the brand.

^ This is the only reason I think they need to do it. Otherwise, I’d prefer my iPad. Or my 15” laptop screen. Also, they’re going to make you pay for the connection to stream when I can use my iPhone as a hotspot for my iPad (for which I already pay). It’s just absurd to me.

And I don’t need Xbox or PlayStation or steam games. Tesla also has a fart mode - don’t need that.

Seriously, on “features” CarPlay and Android auto on Lucid should “beat” watching Netflix or whatever on Tesla and Rivian. Far more useful on a regular basis.

It’s still on their social media it just says something about the fact it will be available in future updates….
