Reverse Split

Love how the stock is up almost 15% today and it's crickets in here but the moment it loses 5% the pitchforks come out 😂
Thats human nature.....nothing to be surprised about....just like how Lucid fanboys get upset about negative comments about the car/company.

This forum is a magnet for negative experiences, but, human nature for warning others. It is also a forum for collecting experiences good, bad, and indifferent. There is also the mind's eye views and outside looking in types as well. I love reading and seeing all the mix of people posting in their own style, views, advice, guidance, and opinions. In the end, am I still going to spend $150k for a car that fits and checks all the boxes AND I trust Lucid will deliver in the end all the promises - yes! Do I think sometimes I am an idiot - sometimes. In the end, it is the trust and product tech I am buying - with any large purchase. Mind set!

Respectfully, the “Lucid fanboy” thing is just so overdone. There is so much to love about Lucid, that you don’t need to be a “fanboy” to point this stuff out…you just need to not be hell-bent on blowing up every little thing into a major, company-trashing issue.

This forum is an echo chamber for those who just complain and complain and complain. If someone hates their Lucid? Sell it and move on. Just stop ranting about the same two or theee annoying things incessantly.

I have yet to drive a better sedan than the Air and I have been a car nut for a long, long time. And from what I’ve read and watched, the Gravity is a similar category-defining vehicle. Why shouldn’t people be tremendously enthusiastic about that?

You realize that people might like some aspects of a car, but hate others, right? It's never all or none.

Such simplistic views are usually labeled as fanboyism.

It’s not fanboyism to get tired of people’s whining about their key or a software glitch over and over and over…sorry.

People whine about the fob because it's a problem other automakers solved 20 years ago. 10% of the time I get in the car I'm reminded it has this problem. It's especially frustrating trying to reconcile how a company that can do so much right can't figure out how to solve this simple problem.

Yes it gets tiresome hearing it repeated ad nausea. But everytime I make my peace with the issue, I'm stuck in the rain, the snow, carrying something or just annoyed at the world and door does not open. It a little jab reminding me the designers of this great car did not get everything right.

I disagree, especially about the key fob. This is bottom of the tier functionality. It’s perfectly understandable to get upset about something that every single manufacturers figured tout. I’m surprised Lucid hasn’t fixed this or could not fix this. Wonder how the 2025 Airs are doing regarding keys.

Other software glitches I understand, intermittent audio issues, or CarPlay connections , 360 camera issues- those are issues other manufacturers have had problems with. Key- is different in my opinion.

Actually, the key issue is something that prevents me from recommending Lucid to anyone, at least u til they fix it. Most people will accept other software glitches, but not locking and unlocking annoyances.

I also feel it’s important to bring these issues to the front, so Lucid, who we know monitor these forums, can address promptly. The more comments about software glitches, the more likely we get a solution, hopefully.Every owner should be allowed to voice their issues without hindrance.

But a post like yours makes clear there’s lots of stuff to love too…that’s rather different than the ones I’m referring to…”the key fob sucks, the car sucks, the company’s going out of business.” Those kinds of posts…

Agree, key fob still sucks, best car I ever bought, company not going out of business!

But the key does make me only give soft recommendations for the car. When asked I've never told anyone go buy one. I tell them its a good car with some quirks that that require you to adjust your expectations.

It would be much easier if Lucid would fix some of the seemingly low hanging issues. I really believe these little annoyances and their inability to seamlessly pivot production to new products to be the Achilles heel that could bring them down.

This forum is much more tame for overall criticism then what you see on the Rivian/Tesla/Porsche/ Hummer EV & almost every other car forum that exists ….

I don’t know if it’s a 2025 model thing or not, but I’ve never had any issue at all with my key fob—it works every time (with a 2 to 3 second delay at most, but usually opening as I approach… and if it’s slow, a manual touch to the handle will open it).

The phone also works every time, so long as I wake the phone (wiggle it or touch screen) so its Bluetooth is active…. Or again, if for any reason I haven’t done that, touching the handle will work.

I tend to not have my phone set up as a mobile key, because when I’m at home, I’m more apt to be walking past my car with the phone in my pocket, and it annoys me when the car wakes up unnecessarily….

It’s a real puzzle why some people have a much more inconsistent experience.

The best way to bring an issue to Lucid is to contact Lucid directly not post on a forum and hope they get around to seeing it.

Wonder how the 2025 Airs are doing regarding keys.
95% of the time I use the mobile key. It unlocks the car as I approach 50-60% of the time. The rest of the time, it unlocks as soon as I open the Lucid app on my phone.

With the actual fob... I have not had any problems at all.

I am no expert in investing, but I think nothing will move until Lucid start delivering car constantly (and I mean cars as problems free as possible). Lucid can do all the ads or promo they want, but until that delivery number starts beating Wall street expectations by a mile; we should alk buckle up for the rough ride.
2030 at the earliest for me as I continue to purchase "100" instead of my customary "1,000" I used to purchase before the split.

I think there's a significant difference in tone and added value to the forum between:
* 100 people each posting about their own experiences with an issue
* 5 people each ranting 20 times about the single issue--some of whom don't even have the car--and how stupid Lucid must be to still not fix it.

(The numbers are made up, but the ratios are descriptive. Google says there are over 2600 references to "fob" in these forums.)

Some form of insider buying would be great too.
Don't expect that, even if the insiders believe in the company. It's a pretty safe guess that most insiders already have a lot of their (potential?) net worth tied up in Lucid stock. Few financial advisors would recommend buying yet more stock, and decreasing the diversity of one's investment assets. Looking at insider sales is a better indicator of confidence. If senior insiders are selling at a volume that indicates they're cashing out, that's a sign of concern. If they're selling at a low volume that's likely just enabling tax payments or modestly supplementing their salary, that's a sign of confidence.

I've been lurking on this thread, and I'll throw in my 3 cents:

Keeping the stock price well above the delisting point seems like a good move. Delisting would be pretty painful for pretty much everyone but the Saudis. It would especially negatively impact the employees, and increase the chance of key employees deciding to move along. It's common for reverse splits to cause price declines in the short term, but in the long term the stock price is driven by the business fundamentals, not the number of shares outstanding.

I think it's unrealistic to expect the stock price to make any big upward moves until it's clear that Lucid is a sustainable business. And that won't be clear until the mid-market vehicles are being produced in volume, and the financial numbers are on a clear trajectory towards profit. In the interim, there are a handful of metrics that might matter to Wall Street: Gravity selling in volume, Gravity delivering class leading sales numbers the way the Air does, concrete unveiling of the mid-market vehicles (making it clear that they'll be competitive), and beginning sales of mid-market vehicles. Aside from significant news like that, I'd expect most stock movement to be volatility rather than any fundamental change.

The current stock price undervaluing the assets on hand is not surprising. Wall Street knows that those assets are going to be spent getting ready for the mid-market, and so they're worth nothing until there's confidence that the investment will pay off. And even the most ardent Lucid fan should realize that there's still a big risk that the investment will fail.

Very well said!
