Hi All,

I just bought this Ecogenix Adapter from Amazon because I Really REALLY liked the way it looks plus it matches my cars color lol! It has IP rating and other certifications printed on it! It has the right AMP and Voltage Rates needed to support the fast charging. Would you use it on your Lucid Air?

I have to say that I agree with you that the form looks very nice indeed
I'd personally put this next to the miniature speedform, but wouldn't use that on the Air.
It may be manufactured perfectly compliant with the required specs for certification, but not knowing what's under the hood just makes me a bit uncomfortable.
It may work out nicely, but I just don't want to risk it. And that's just me.
Experts on the forum have stated what brands they prefer, and this brand is not one of them at this time.

So I would not use it. If you do and something major goes wrong it could result in a warranty issue on the car. The only adapter "approved" by Lucid is the one they are selling so why risk it by using a different one to save a few bucks.

While it lists 500A and 500-1000V, it also states 250kW. That latter makes it limited and not suitable for Air that can draw up to 350kW. Once Tesla begins deploying V4 cabinets, you could end with a charred mess on your hands.

No. dont use it. it says 250kw on it. Lucid must have 500 kw adapter, plus 1000 volt and 500 amps.
  • Rated up to 500kW (1000V, 500A) required.

I would not use it either for the reasons stated above. It might be ok since a Lucid is limited to 50 kW at most Tesla chargers.
I bought this one, since it is rated for 500 kw but have not used it. It is a safety precaution so that I can use Tesla super chargers at some point if the car is desperate.
The Lucid adapter was back ordered at the time. This thing is built well.

Ack. The community has spoken. The Cute Silver Adapter will not be used; as their are to many deficiencies especially with Tesla V4 Super Chargers. It's time to find a Lectron / Lucid adapters. We can close this Thread now.
