Gravity software updates

I read through this thread from time-to-time to monitor Lucid's progress resolving a number of issues owners have reported and posted. Assuming you updating to 3.2.1, what issues remain for you personally? Thanks!

Same also got the update last night and also seeing the apps "stick" so far

Taking delivery of GGT and was hoping that fob fix would be out by now. I know the risks. I do hope they get that solved soon and another updated pushed.

Software issues? Spurious warnings (rear wheel steering unavailable, wireless charging unavailable, etc), seemingly random use of the wrong units (cm for ride height?), bad charging site data in nav. We'll probably hit 2500 miles in the next week and no real showstoppers.

I need to check if the clock is still 3 minutes fast.

Found a new thing which is that the 2nd-row driver side door accent lighting seems to be missing a channel and the color is different than the rest. I haven't checked this again after a reboot -- could be SW or HW. Super weird, but also something that seems easy to miss during PDI if a cable is bad or not fully seated.

When did the most recent update release? It’s the one that fixed the music issue for folks, I think.

Trying to think/understand about what kind of cadence Lucid might have for Gravity - at least in the beginning. One issue, probably, is they don’t want to break one thing while fixing another. Rivian did this a couple of times early on.

Didn't @Nick.Twork post something on Twitter about the next release targeting software bugs coming in early September? I believe 3.2.2 came out in late July. Not yet enough datapoints to really make a pattern, but if the next patch comes in early September, that would be a cadence of Lucid patches every 4-6 weeks.

I don’t follow him, so I don’t know, but if they’re going to ramp delivery like the email we all got tonight, then they will need to squash bugs. Those of us who have a Gravity are patient and expect this. If they ramp deliveries, then they’ll get in the hands of folks and reviewers who aren’t as patient.

Personally, mine is in pretty darn good shape and I love it!

Absolutely beautiful engineering and a gem of a car to drive — especially for enjoying music.

That said, the software side has had its share of problems, and fixes are taking longer than expected.

My latest software update didn’t finish, and it’s been over two weeks now with the update message stuck on the screen.

Key fob issues: After the 3.2.1 update, I thought these were resolved. But my first trip to the golf course in this car, then a meeting at a new location, and finally a grocery store run proved otherwise. At the grocery store, the kids were in the car and it simply wouldn’t move because the key wasn’t detected. Thankfully, the A/C was working so they were comfortable. The workaround-works 70% of the time- Walk more than 100 feet away from the car, then return — and suddenly it detects the key.

Other quirks: Sometimes the wipers start moving the moment I get into the car. I’m guessing this will be fixed with the next update.

Still no HomeLink, and the cell phone charging pad isn’t working.

And also the quality of the assembled line workers for sure have to be improved for lucid to reach great heights that it deserves.

For all the brilliant engineering that’s gone into this car, the software issues really need to be ironed out — especially before reviewers get their hands on it.

3.2.2 update finally work. Got a text from Lucid Customer Care this morning, saying to install the update from the car and not from the app. I think some forum members mentioned this, but last time I did this, it didn't work. So today is my 3rd attempt at the 3.2.2 update. Waited all day to get home, then do the update. 10 mins later. Completed. No fuss.

Hi @DrLucid - thanks for posting about the Key Fob issues. I am trying to track down the issue and solution/workaround before I get mine.
Glad to know about the workaround of "walking more than 100 feet away from your car"... (at least it will help me get my 10000 steps)

Am curious.. did you have your KEY CARD with you at that time?

I wonder if it makes sense (for now) to buy a small faraday pouch/bag for a keyfob so such occasions so you don't have to run away from the car. Just put it inside, wait a few minutes, and try again.

That would be a great thing if it indeed worked!... I am picturing this in my head... "run away from the car" 😆
