Gravity Delivery Discussion

For those considering the Wheel Center Cap Kit, you may feel the black option is for stealth wheels and the silver option is for platinum wheels.

When my GGT was going through PDI, I asked to have the aero covers removed and the platinum cap kit installed on my platinum wheels. The SC only had stealth in stock. Once I saw that the lug nut covers for both kits are black and the only difference is a silver bear with black background (stealth) and a black bear with silver background (platinum) I was good with the stealth kit.

I remember you posted a pic your SA had sent. I can’t seem to find it now, but if it’s easy, can you please post again? I really think the website makes platinum look shinier than it is. I will know tomorrow morning, but the wait is killing me…

Oh you want pictures!?
I got pictures!
My non-ev friends been sniffing.

SA picture was in the dimly lit parking area.
Mine are out in sunlight which makes a difference. Showing highest, standard, and lowest ride heights.

you will see software update successful every damn time you start up the car
Lol yes...unless it doesn't update successfully...then you'll see that every damn time you start the car too!

Yeah, after reading reports of tears in both Air and Gravity vehicles, I decided to switch my order to Tahoe leather. Previously I'd picked the Yosemite, which I really like the look of.
All is well in the world now! I was concerned when I saw that @TahoeMichael would get a different interior than Tahoe. Fortunately, the world has recognized this oddity and corrected this mistake. lol.

By the way, I really like the Tahoe interior, so maybe I’m biased? Initially, I thought I would prefer Yosemite as well, but the leather is simply nicer.

I, too, have a dog and need to figure out what to use beyond blankets for some additional protection.

This will work only for a smallish dog, but I ordered six firm foam cushions from Amazon and taped them into a rigid unit using a roll of fabric repair tape. They slide in and out of our Honda Odyssey and Lucid Gravity in a second and fit perfectly.

It raises our dog up so that she can look out the windshield, which she likes to do, and she can prop her front paws on the side cushions to look out the side windows without scratching the door trim.

At first I thought you were suggesting brick pavers for the back seat when I saw the picture. 😂

So our dog is 55lbs and I am most concerned about his penchant for putting his front feet on the arm rest of the door and just surfing with his head out the window. I’ve driven a Rivian for last couple of years, so the vinyl seats held up really well without a cover. Now with leather, I am concerned, but I did want the feel of leather.

The issue with the sling in back is my kids then can’t sit there (legally!).

I’ve used canvasback as well for Rivian. It was awesome. Have to get them to make this for Gravity, but they’re in MN and need a car for a template.

Kids ruin everything.

Our dog likes to do the same thing when looking out the side windows.

Until I made this seat a few months ago in preparation for getting the Gravity, our dog rode in the back seat of our Odyssey for almost eight years, and neither the leather upholstery nor the plastic/composite trim pieces shows the least bit of wear from it, despite her constant romping from one side of the car to the other. (I started to use this in the Odyssey, however, to get her used to it before putting her in the Gravity, which I have not yet done.)

I suspect the Gravity leather and trim will hold up as well as the Odyssey's has without protection . . . but I just don't have the guts to risk it yet.

Lots of different experiences with “when can I see software updates” on my Gravity dashboard. Last night, I saw none. On way to pick-up car and checked and saw this…once I get the car, will still check the dashboard every hour (I am lying, it’s been more than that!)?

Also, for those wondering, my “sleep score” on my fitness device (Oura ring) was horrendous last night. Like a kid before [insert meaningful gift holiday to you]…

My wife found this on Amazon.

We don't have dogs anymore; grandkids.
My wife thinks it might work with them.
The Amazon link below specifically mentions the Gravity.
@pyle112 I read your "Kids ruin everything" comment to my wife; she replied "Yep".
