Welcome! I put 45K miles in our 23 ESQ 580 SUV before we traded it in for a Cybertruck. I miss the ARHUD the most and hope Gravity’s version is better. Thanks for the post. My wife and I are very interested in the Gravity, but it feels too soon to buy. We’ll wait until they get it fully baked and maybe order one the end of the year or even next year. Our Mercedes EQS 580 SUV works beautifully with no glitches so we’ll just watch and wait for now. We also need to drive one of course, and there’s none near Central PA, where we live.
My guess is just that Apple needs to certify it, and they couldn't do that on an unreleased car, maybe? But you're right, I don't think it will take long. Maybe I'll be wrong.Seems to me that getting CarPlay to work in the Gravity should be fairly straight forward since it's been available in most new cars for several years. This may indicate possible glitches their software team needs more time to resolve. Their interim CEO said recently that they want to get these issues resolved before demo testers to their Studios, sounds like a proper decision to me. I wouldn't want to drive some distance to test drive a Gravity only to experience software glitches. Take your time Lucid and get it right. That will work out much better for you and your customers.
Looking at the center screen, looks like that's a Air Touring, not a Gravity. Not sure if it was wired or wireless but this Gravity video from EV_OG shows CarPlay working in the Gravity:

That's an Air. Look at the vents, steering wheel... It's not a Gravity at all.Not sure if it was wired or wireless but this Gravity video from EV_OG shows CarPlay working in the Gravity:

Just watched this. What a crap video! He didn't test drive the car at all, he pretended he drove it by slipping in some footage of him driving an Air.Not sure if it was wired or wireless but this Gravity video from EV_OG shows CarPlay working in the Gravity:

Not your fault they misrepresented the video.Whoops never mind - sorry all!
Calling it a "crap video" is perhaps a bit much?Just watched this. What a crap video! He didn't test drive the car at all, he pretended he drove it by slipping in some footage of him driving an Air.

Maybe well intended, but definitely mistitled with an inaccurate description; thus misleading.
A better and more accurate title might have been "Gravity Showroom Review".
What he showed outside wasn't much compared to what he recorded in the showroom.
I became aware of the video through a Reddit post and after looking at some of his other videos and hearing his ownership history, the "EVOG" name at least makes sense.
However, back to his Gravity video; not sure why he chose the title and published that description.
Looks like he and his wife did a test drive; she's in the driver's seat, but it's possible they didn't have an appointment and were only allowed to sit in the Gravity at some point in the day. If it was an actual test drive, the obvious question is why didn't he record and publish the test drive. The use of the AT in launch mode is also puzzling and misleading, which is a check in the "crap video" box.
I honestly hadn't considered that the launch mode sequence was in a Gravity because nowhere else in the video are there any road scenes.
Quite true.Viewers deserve accurate content, not vague titles and stitched-together clips designed to bait engagement. If creators want to be taken seriously, they need to take their responsibility seriously too.
