At the grand reopening event this morning at KOP, I had the service team process the recall of the All Season Weather Mats. The process was pretty simple. There is no replacement of the mats or installation of the anchor posts at this time. Zac said they are working on a fix for this for our cars manufacturered without the anchor posts but for now, we're only getting a full refund.

Service will retrieve your driver's side mat ONLY and you have to authorize the destruction of your mat (mine was cut in two pieces and labeled.) Once you authorize, service will email you your docusign. After that a refund will be issued to you. Since Lucid has my banking information on file, they couldn't tell me today whether my refund would be sent via check or ACH. Someone is supposed to call me next week with an answer.

Finally, they said the refund should take about 2 weeks so that likely means at least a month! 😂😀

Oh, if you purchased your mats with referral points, Lucid is working on a solution for this scenario.

If you have any other questions, please reach out.

Update....

Check received today for $307.40. This represents the amount I paid for the full set of mats plus shipping and tax.

I got my check today for $313.93. It was sent by certified mail for $8.16 and they used a third party Gallaher Bassett to issue the refund checks.

It appears Lucid spent a lot of money per person for this recall.

Yup the same, Certified mail from those same folks. I thought mine was a one-off.

Will I get continued recall notices if I ignore it. I really don't feel like driving 3 hours for floor mats.
