After about three months, our circuit breaker for charging our Lucid Air started to "pop" (the circuit breaker "breaks"). This is new behavior.

We notice on our two other (brand unnamed) we can lower the charging current with the app. We did some searches here and in general it seems it cannot be done on the Lucid Air.

Note also we never had the breakers pop on the unnamed brand car and we've had them for more than five years.

Also note that we've had some electrical storms lately. Could the circuit breaker have anything to do with ground faults?

Can’t be done in the Air unfortunately but can be done in the Gravity. Maybe one day that feature will show up for the Air via an OTA.

It can be done with third party chargers, but honestly, “breaker keeps tripping” means time to call an electrician. Especially if it got worse over time. It almost certainly means some part of the circuit has been getting uncomfortably hot and is degrading. Keep pushing it and you’ll end up with arcing, which is how fires start.

I agree that if the breaker keeps popping that there is an electrical problem that needs to be fixed right away. I would call an electrician before using it again.
