2022 Lucid Air GT
Yesterday afternoon I turned on Google Maps in CarPlay, and to my surprise the instructions also showed up on the right side of the Cockpit where my music and turn signal camera also appear. This was in addition to the CarPlay display on the far right. I tried it again this morning coming to work and it's still showing up. I changed the CarPlay to display Spotify and the instructions still stayed on the Cockpit just to the right of the speedometer. Typically, this would work with the native Lucid Nav only. Is this a glitch or hopefully a sign of good things to come? It's the first time I've been able to see both my Music on the CarPlay portion to the far right and still get Google Maps instructions on another part of the screen! I confirmed that the Lucid Nav was not accidentally also.

Does that work for Waze now?

Does that work for Waze now?
No, only Apple Maps. That's a phone thing, not a car thing. I'm not sure if Apple doesn't share that feature with third party apps or if they just haven't implemented it.
Edit: Oh, that's Google Maps in the screenshot? Must be the latter then and Waze is just behind.

Apple Maps had previously worked for me since I got my Pure in March. I believe Google on the right cockpit screen was added in a more recent update. 2.7 or the one before it.

This also just started happening for me two days ago. I actually think it’s annoying because I use Google maps in CarPlay on the right side of the cockpit so I can actually see the map. I was able to clearly see the musical artwork for songs that were playing in that small right screen where the turn video occurs. Now, the artwork is shoved to the top of that screen and is obscured by my steering wheel. When I have Google maps playing in the Car play screen, I don’t need it also showing in that cocked area.

For some reason I can’t get this to work. Everything is updated to the most recent version, iOS, Google Maps, Lucid software.

Bummer as I was really looking forward to this.

Blame Google, then. This was not a change Lucid made.

There may be a setting somewhere in Google Maps to turn this off? I doubt it, but worth a look.

It appears this is only available to select lucky Google Maps users, so it's hit or miss until they do the full rollout. I think this has been done for several other Google Maps features in the past.
