I was told that the DE numbering badge is random, there's no sequence to them. Guess it's not that special. :)

That’s definitely true in general. Just so happens 13 is our favorite number. Guess we got very lucky. :)

Sounds like you maybe got it a little early…and still in town. Time for a little trip to the 60s and maybe a quarter mile at a time…is it my lucky day too?

I haven’t even heard from my SA beyond a couple generic emails since Nov 7 and that’s how I found out I got a new SA sending generic emails.

0 contact, even when I ask a question or two.

Originally black/tahoe on base wheels, tech, premium, everything but DD Pro.

And now…no HUD or tow.

Hopes and dreams…all I got.
 
I called the Houston studio to see if there are any updates on my DE... The person I talked to didn't seem to have much info but thought it's waiting for a software update. @HC_79 what version is your car on?

I was told at white plains that “production” Gravity’s will have an exterior frunk button. One member already said they didn’t have it, wondering if these newer models do?

Nice to see people starting to get their deliveries! Mine was supposed to arrive in Milbrae on the 19th with a pickup for the 22nd, but I still haven’t heard anything about it from my SA. For those that got theirs, how long before your pickup did the portal change to preparing for delivery?
 
Well, it looks like Lucid took some Metamucil…

Checking my dashboard, as I do too often to admit, and my GGT (no HUD) is now “in production”. And a VIN appeared too! Have to give SA credit, timing provided has been spot on. Now the wait continues, but at least some progress!!!
What’s the configuration and when did you order? Did you originally order with a HUD and then downgrade to no HUD? If so, how did you do that? My SA ignores me. I’ve been trying to downgrade my order to remove HUD and he hasn’t responded.
 
@JoeMa, no external button for frunk, other than the button on the key fob.

The HUD….. hmmmm… unfinished product like everybody says. I see huge potential. The display is projected in such a way that it’s distant from the glass (almost like a projection further out on the horizon, hence their patent I guess), so it’s HUGE. When driving, it looks like it covers 2 to 2 1/2 lanes in front of you. Right now, everything is squeezed to the bottom of the HUD displayable area. It’s almost like the aspect ratio is wrong, fonts are more wide and just look squeeze down by a fixed displayable resolution of sorts. Not much info. Speed sign, current speed. Dream Cruise settings (I think), and that’s about it for now. Oh, and minimal GPS turn-by-turn arrows. There is so much empty space left for like a bazillion things, I feel like they could take out the dash OLED display and just put everything on the HUD and it would work.

However, I find the current brightness level to be too low, and depending on what’s in front of you, hard to read the graphics and numbers. I have not play with the settings to fix this. Also depending on the sun reflective angle, I randomly see a big square patch of white overlay in front of me, not distracting, but enough that it annoys me. I’m sure these might be just settings that I can adjust.

Have not even try CarPlay yet. Too excited, too many things to play with. Will spend more time in the car tonight and tomorrow to go over everything.

@Kvothe89, when I pick up this morning. There were 2 more inside ready for delivery. A black GT, another Aurora Green DE. And 3 more GTs sitting on the lot. I also saw another Aurora Green being moved around when they were moving mine out. Including mine, there were 7 Gravities @ Milbrae. 6 Green, 1 Black. I can only confirm 2 were DEs, and 3 GTs, didn’t check on bear badges on the others from far away, or it’s obstructing where I can’t see to confirm. SA told me all the GTs have no HUD/Tech Package. I saw one GT, the HUD cut out is there, so they didn’t change the dash to cover the HUD projection opening. On my Taycan, if you didn’t get the HUD, you get a different dash, where there’s no cutout, and no bump for the HUD hardware.

1st impression (I never test drove or own any Lucid before), AMAZING. so quiet. I think it’s better than my Range Rover Sport Autobiography, wife says no, but I think it does. Bay Area traffic, so I’m stuck on Smooth mode for the ride home. Gonna go out tonight and go carve some canyons. Suspension in smooth is so good. My usual routes home with bumps and cracks, feel so good. Squircle takes a bit of time to get used to. Don’t think it’ll matter at all.

One thing I think my wife will find annoying. The turn stalk feels just a tad further out from your position when holding the squircle, I have long fingers, it’s fine for me, but wife will probably have to stretch to reach it, not much, but not comfy enough to just stick your finger and flip the lever.

Lots of dings and alerts, maybe it’s a setting I can turn things off. Need to read the manual and/or press everything and figure things out. Dream Drive keeps wanting to help me avoid certain situations and move steering wheel, have to turn that off.

Maybe more details when I get more with it. Some family obligations, so no time to play with it. The availability of this was such a short notice, I’m actually not prepared for it. Didn’t take much photos either. will try some photos tomorrow.

I’m number 063 on the door sill. Was secretly hoping for 007.

It does come with a EVSE and adaptors, I didn’t open them, they’re wrapped, but I’ll assume it’s 14-50 and 10-30? I see 2 wrapped adaptors. Also comes with J1777 and CCS1 adaptor.

And the usual DE swag accessories that’ll be shipped to you at a later date. this includes the Frunk bench/cushion with DE logos. Tote, wine bottle bag, bottle of wine and stainless steel cups. Camping lantern and a blanket.

I ask SA to make sure they don’t put the DE Bear logo on the car, he tells me it’s now a badge that’s added from the factory. So my Bear was already on by time I got to the car. It’s a raised badge/emblem type, he shows me that the DE on the Air is a sticker type. My detailer will have to take it off to wrap it.

It would be a 14-30 if it were a 240V 30A adapter. 10-30 has no ground pin and would not work.
But I expect that the other adapter is a 5-15, aka a plain old 120V 15A plug.
