I just heard from my service technician that the original all weather mats sold in 2022 are being recalled because they can slide on the floor of the vehicle and block the pedals.

Lucid also is apparently offering a voucher to get new floor mats with the recall. However problem is the voucher is $250 which is pretty tight with what many sets of these mats are going for.

I'm wondering if anyone knows how to buy just the driver's mat and not the others, or if there's a particularly good set of mats that's worth paying a bit out of pocket for.

Also, airs from the 22 and 23 years have Velcro, not posts, so that's something to keep in mind when searching for mats.

I love the 3D Mats.

Others like TuxMats, which has better coverage but I don't like the look of or the feel of. YMMV.

Here's another option to continue to use the mats. I noticed that the mats were slipping on initially install, which I recognized as a hazard. To resolve the issue I glued velcro strips on the underside of the mats to align with the velcro pads on the car floor. They don't slide around anymore.

We also opted to take the $250 voucher.

Just received the recall notice. In January 2023, I paid $250 + $40 for shipping + $23.20 for NYS sales tax.

I suppose the voucher will only cover the cost of mats and I'm on the hook for shipping and tax.

This probably isn't going to help me get the sold out all-weather mats from the referral store 🥲

I received the recall notice and confirmed that my Lucid has no anchors. So, I can either continue to use my all weather mat next winter (perhaps with jury rigged Velcro strips) or I can exchange my mat for $250 and buy a non Lucid mat to replace it? Not crazy about either option

I'm in the same boat. I like the Tahoe color all weather mats even though they do stain and require extensive cleaning.
Mine do not slide around and frankly this is one of those issues that are CYA to prevent dishonest people from suing the company, not from actual safety.
Anyone who doesn't recognize when a mat moves under pedals shouldn't be driving.
I like the 3D mats, I just wish they made one in the Tahoe color. I'm tempted to just keep my mats and forgo the $250 credit back.
What do you think?

Works for me. I just ordered some Velcro strips.

Does anyone know if continuing to use the recalled Model-00 floor mats voids any warranties and/or insurance claims should an accident occur for a reason other than a sliding mat? I ask because I like my mat, it doesn't slide (came with velcro attachment that I assume was a temporary fix before they were forced to issue the recall?), and it does not appear that they plan to offer any upgrade to an OEM floor mat.

Thank you. What email do you send the photos to ?
I was told about this at the King of Prussia (Pennsylvania) Lucid studio, and submitted the email to the assistant there, at her direction, You might want to ask your Lucid studio how to go about submitting the request

Took my Grand Touring today to the Costa Mesa, California service center with the recall notice. The service advisor Chris said they will honor an $89 refund, or I can choose to ignore the recall and keep the recalled floor mat. This doesn't seem right, especially since Lucid floor mats are only sold in a set of 4 for $250. I asked, " Can I just swap out my driver side floor mat for a one that's not recalled?" Chris said " Sorry, we can't do that." The resolution for this recall is disappointing. Any suggestions?

That's insulting. As I recall, we paid about $250 for the defective mats. That's what the refund should be & others have posted thst they were getting $250 back.

“Lucid will reimburse owners for the original cost of the floor mats.”

Were they originally $89? Got the receipt? If so, that’s what they’ll have to reimburse.

I returned mine to the Natick service center, had to sign a recall form, and they kept the drivers floor mat. In fact they physically destroyed the returned mat while I was there. About 3 weeks later I got a certified letter and a reimbursement check for the purchase price including sales tax and I think shipping. Fairly easy process

Thanks for the responses fellas. I have to believe this forum helps us customers. Here is an update of what Chris text me about the recall.

“ So good news, just found out Lucid is reimbursing the full amount of $250. This was not disclosed to me as they were originally only doing the other cost. I do apologize on the miscommunication on my end“

Problem solved. Appreciate this forum for the support.
