Well summer arrived early in Austin, Texas this year and after a torturous round of golf in 100-degree heat, I decided it was time to turn my ventilated seat feature on full fan. Problem was it didn't seem to be working. Or if it was, it had emphasyma. Anyone else experiencing the lackluster performance of this feature? My last car was an Audi A7, and you could really feel it. The air, not so much if at all.

Turn on the foot vents when you do it and try again. It sucks air from your body, and the foot vents help circulate that air better, at least in my experience.

As borski mentioned, the seats , unlike most, suck air as opposed to blow air. They do feel weaker than other cars but they do kind of work in weather that’s under 90. Anything over 100 degrees and the AC and ventilated seats don’t hold up as well as I’d hoped. 120 degrees and good luck with your AC and efficiency.

Er, to be fair, they are precisely what ventilated seats on other cars do; they are not cooling seats, which some cars have, but plenty just have regular ventilated seats.

I live in Saudi and heat is extreme but I found the AC to be great

I even tested in a road trip of temperature 108 f and it was great

I was told by lucid Saudi that the car is designed to work with extreme heat but I am not sure if Saudi specs is different than US specs

Keep in mind my car is made in US, AZ

Had a Lincoln Navigator about 20 years ago that was my first car with ventilated seats and they were great because they blew air up and out toward your skin. Since then I have had a couple Mercedes and BMW and they figuratively and literally “Sucked” - pun intended. My son just bought a Ford Expedition that has ventilated seats and it reminded me of how good the old Navigator seats worked. Another key element to the Ford/Lincoln seat is in addition to blowing (and not sucking) is that the front seats have floor AC vents under them that directed cool air both toward the back seats as well as feeding cool air to these seat fans.

Thanks for suggestion. Ill give it a try. I did find the max AC setting made a huge difference vs regular AC in the cabin

I’m happy with them. Especially if I drive a day in either of my other cars. One doesn’t have them, the other Tesla has them but the vented seats and entire HVAC aren’t as good as the Air.

As others have said, they are better than nothing. But nowhere near the best at cooling because they are not 'cooling' only ventilating.

I wonder if they would be any better if they blew air instead of drawing air away from the driver (even without actually cooling the air) 🤔
