Hello everyone
My car in the last 3 days won’t go into DRIVE after it’s been charged and the cable is unplugged. It behaves like the charge cable is still plugged and the status wont change into READY position.
I have Lucid looking into it , but anyone with any experience on this issue please chime in.
Ps . I am on the latest 2.6.16 software version

Thanks in advance
Bobby

You're not being ignored, I think the resounding silence says that none of us have seen this before. I certainly haven't heard of this issue. Try a different charger if you can?

This exact same thing happened to me this morning after unplugging. I exited the vehicle and then the cockpit crashed and rebooted and then I was fine.

This is after driving the car to the gym and getting back in. It does it every time now and it takes some times up to 2 min to get the READY status . Service doesn’t have a lucid loaner until next Wednesday!
Extremely frustrating and disappointing! You can’t scale up a company without proper service support . It’s the main reason I left Tesla after driving electric since 2013 .

Assuming you are still under warranty, Lucid would like the gladly pay for a rental for you. At least until the Lucid loaner is available. Loaners are never guaranteed to be available. That's not a fair criticism of Lucid imo

Although if the car is driving fine with just a short delay, it doesn't seem that far of a stretch to just deal with it until the loaner becomes available

If the car does go into Drive even with a delay is am ok with it . But I have a 50/50 chance of getting stuck some place ..

I visited and test drove twice the car in West Palm and Miami locations . One of the main points of discussion with advisors on both locations was service and availability of loaners . I was assured by BOTH that wasn’t an issue . 🙄

You know it’s funny the other day post update I got into my car and it wouldn’t recognize my face. It’s as if the whole drive system was frozen. It lasted about 20 seconds and it finally “unlocked” and I should shift into drive. It hasn’t happened again though.

Similar issue since 2.6.16, I'm able to get mine into gear after about 20-40 seconds. It happens probably around ~50% of the time. I'll reach out to CS about it but I'm guessing we'll be waiting until the next OTA for a patch.

Good morning!
Have you talked with Lucid service about it ? What’s their feedback?

Thank you
