First Dream Edition Delivery!

Pretty exciting news! I got a call from the manager at the Scottsdale showroom on Thursday night. He asked if I would be interested in taking delivery of the first Dream Edition, with the caveat that the CEO would be attending, there would be a ribbon cutting ceremony, and it will be filmed. They want to do it before the end of the month!

I wanted the smaller tires for the added range so they are changing those away from the 21”/22” that come “standard”, but I’m due to take delivery on 4/30/25.

I can’t wait! I’m leasing it to take advantage of the $7500 credit. I’ll post pics once I take delivery on Wednesday.

Going from posting on Sunday about delivery to being out of the country on Wednesday? Boy, that is one sudden trip.

And his posts on this forum and on Reddit were picked up and repeated in a YouTube video and a (rather dodgy) autoblog.

If any of this is true, Lucid must be livid: the CEO going to Arizona for the event, the press and video crew lined up . . . only to miss the advertised start of real customer deliveries and Gravity Dream Number 1 with no taker.

No wonder Lucid asks people participating in these events to stay quiet about them beforehand.

I checked, and it was two days after that other "start of deliveries" Lucid did in December before there were any reports of the event and three days before Lucid put up their own reports of the event. So I wasn't really expecting any official coverage of the delivery until at least tomorrow. However, it seems people both here and on Reddit were expecting at least confirmation in short order of the delivery from the customer who was to get the car.

However, since Lucid can host repeated "Introducing the Gravity" events, I guess they can "start deliveries" as many times as they need to. So try, try again. (Of course, the promise of customer deliveries by the end of April can die only once now that May has arrived.)

Well what we really should have done was vet the posters by asking for a VIN to prove it. Shame on us I guess, may have all been a ruse.

I thought the interim CEO and exec leadership was in Saudi. This was posted a day ago. Not sure how Mark was expected to be in Arizona if he was in SA!

Truly exciting news! And it about time they started delivering.

However, nothing against leasing but photo op with CEO delivering a DE Gravity to a lease… As CEO of Lucid, I would have selected an owner buying outright or an Air owner that bought a Gravity. But that’s just me.

Hope its not. But Lucid is always a target since they have existing products and unfortunate delays.
