After Purchase SSP Upgrade (SS->SSP)?

I made the terrible mistake of going with SS instead of SSP when everyone was generally really unhappy with SSP...I figured if everyone hated it, it wasn't worth the additional capital. Now, post the 2.5 Upgrade, it seems that everyone is now actually happy with SSP - and I still hate my regular SS. It's the only thing about the car that I generally can't stand, and no one in my area (Michigan) seems to want to work with it to put in aftermarket subwoofers (what kind of car is that?)

So... does anyone know if Lucid will retrofit your car with SSP for a cost at the service centre? It looks like an extra module and a speakers - I can't imagine the car wouldn't take it. I'd be happy to pay for better sound.

My understanding is that this is not just a software upgrade, but that there are actually more physical speakers in SSP cars. A Lucid rep told me this but perhaps someone can confirm.

I recall from when I was building online that there are significantly more speakers in the upgrade package. Something like 20+ vs 9.

That’s correct. That’s why it’s not offered. It’s worth registering the interest with service and customer care, just so they can track it, but this would be significant labor.
