In 2022, there were numerous posts related to the placement of the sun visors, with members thinking about removing them or pushing them to the side while driving. One post mentioned the position was rather similar to that seen in Teslas but more noticeable due to the glass roof. Some members thought the visors would not be so noticeable in Lucids with metal roofs. Now that many owners have a metal roof, what are your thoughts of the sun visors? Are they too low and in your line of sight or do they not bother you at all?

I have a 2024 pure RWD with metal roof. This is not an issue at all. Not noticeable and it is not obstructive in any way. When folded, it solidly sits on the metal roof without intruding into the windshield even remotely.

I’m pretty sure I was the first to remove mine in my glass roof 😅. No regrets.

They’re somewhere in a dedicated post in my profile history way back when 😅

The Puck is still there. If I were to remove it, I'd want everything gone. I've had multiple techs tell me removing the Puck would Crack the windshield as it comes out the factory with it fused on

I called the closest service center to me which is in Seattle. They said no one had ever ask this question before. Go figure. It rains or is cloudy 360 days a year there! Pretty sure they don't even understand what a sun visor is for.

Is there an update to this issue? i have removed the actual visors and now trying to remove the "puck" or nubs. I am indifferent to the black circle IN the glass itself but simply need to understand what attaches the plastic to the glass. Thank you in advance.

It’s just adhesive

Has anyone actually removed it? I was told it's fused to the glass when creating it and removing the puck will crack the glass.
If you read the history of this thread, you’ll see that I did alongside pictures somewhere in my history. There’s black circles as a base that are part of the glass and cannot be removed, but the nubs you can just floss off.

Ah, maybe it was those black circles that was being referred. If I were to remove it, I wish it'd be a complete removal. All glass

I am wondering if there are any aftermarket visors similar to what the Tesla model X has where they simply roll out and roll up to the side pillar
