Gravity Delivery Discussion

Does anyone know why some customers get a $650 credit toward the purchase of charging accessories after delivery, while others get a $1k credit?
It used to be $1,000. Now it’s $650 for everyone. Nobody gets $1,000 now. Simple

Yup, we got $650. No charging credits anymore either. But we got so much off the Air I didn't really care. My expectation is that early Gravity deliveries will not have any incentives.

That's a definite possibility. The $1k charging accessories credit didn't start until Feb. of '24. However, if the charger credit is offered to buyers, I'd like to use it in some way.

I was offered a choice of either $1k charger credit or 1 year EA when I purchased my Pure in January 2024. Took the EA which ended in March 2024 and purchased a Grizzl-e Ultimate 48 for $399.

I am repurposing my Tesla wall chargers, both first-gen 80A models, for my Air (with an Evdance J1772 adapter) and my hopefully-soon-to-arrive Gravity. KBB added no additional value for leaving the mobile charger in my MS when I traded it in, so I kept it to use in Gravity. So I'm fully covered already ;).

That's interesting you were offered the $1k credit a month before it was announced. Perhaps your purchase was close enough in timing to be included in the incentive.

My interest is certainly high, just from my experience behind the wheel of an Air and everything I've read about the Gravity. But I guess I'm conservative (not in the political sense!) and reluctant to drop ~$120K on a vehicle I've never had a chance to sit in.
I’m on the other side, full faith in Lucid engineering after owning the Air, not considering any other vehicle. In a few years I see my family becoming a 3 Lucid family with the Air, Gravity and Midsize.

In one of his new Gravity reviews, Kyle at OOS mentioned that Gravity would have some type of charger credit. To be clear, by "incentives" above, I mean discounts to the vehicle's price.

I heard that.
I'm hoping he is speaking from info given to him recently by Lucid and not his knowledge of the former charger credit that seems to have recently been discontinued.
Time will tell.
Credit would be nice, but with or w/o, I'm getting a LCHS.
Who knows, maybe it will be an upgraded LCHS.

I understand everyone is eager to get their Gravity--it seems like an incredible car. I have an AGT on order. The car seems perfect for my needs. However the Gravity looks amazing, so I am wondering about delivery time frames. I know that no one has a crystal ball (that sounds like an old term--does anyone say that anymore?), but what is our best guess on delivery time frame? If I ordered a GGT today, when would be a reasonable time frame to expect delivery?

My realistic guess would be 8-10 months at this point. Suggest you look at the route I went - 18 month lease on the Air (mine is $8/month payment, LOL - there are huge incentives only to lease currently - almost free money) and revisit the Gravity in 2026, to keep your sanity. Put in an order on a Gravity (as I did) but don't rely on it. Who knows what values of cars are gonna be in a year? You may be like me and fall in love with the Air on the way.

8?

8 on the months to a delivery or the monthly lease payment? Yep to both in my case.

Ah ok I see, the pure has a lot of incentives!

Did we finally get the answer to what caused production start up delays in the Gravity?

Beginning around time mark 1:10:00 in the OOS "Gravity Powertrain" video, Emad Dlala says Gravity engineering was completed and the car released to production when Tesla opened up the Supercharger network. This caused the engineers to go back to the drawing board to develop a new boost converter and different drive unit capacitor to facilitate Supercharger use, an effort that took "a couple of months".
