Sorry ... I didn't realize there were questions posted here. Here is a spreadsheet I created to help determine specs ...

I would actually caution against using my configuration (in blue above) because I think the fitment could have been a little better ... there was still some minor interference with new tires.

I had a choice to go slightly larger or smaller in diameter and I chose to to go slightly larger which likely contributed to the interference when the tires were new. Now that I've worn away some of the tread, there is no more noticeable interference.

I made 2 trips between Southern CA and Las Vegas. Once using the factory AeroSport wheels and tires (without inserts) and another trip the following month using the new wheels and tries. The battery charged to exactly 411 miles at 100% for each trip.

The resulting mi/kWh for both trips were virtually the same. So with regards to mileage, I don't think the new wheels and tires made a noticeable impact. I'm sure that on paper, the factory wheels and tires would produce better calculated efficiency. But in real world driving, driving style/technique has a greater impact to efficiency.

Looking at my cars stats below, I would say roughly half the total miles shown in trip B were on the new wheels and tires. I've never reset Trip A or Trip B since I took delivery in December 2023. I find can also easily get around 3.00 mi/kWh by changing my driving habits but I didn't purchase a GT-P to drive like that.

At the end of the day, just drive the car as you would an ICE car ... and enjoy it. ;)

I'm just wondering how it ended up working out with the front 265s and the rubbing?
I just bought a 2025 Air GT with 19s and would like to go with a square 19x9" with 265 set up. From looking at your set it seems the back is no problem, but I definitely don't want rubbing in the front.
Any advice is appreciated
 
Interesting thread. I lease, so I just keep the stock and remove covers to mix it up.

I think your proposal would work, but you might want to consider the overall tire diameter too when making your decision. I didn't include 19" tire diameters in my table above.

My set up has very slight rubbing during extreme conditions on both front (while reversing ) and rear (when going trough dip in the road with car fully loaded). But .... I haven't yet determined if the best solution is to adjust the wheel offsets or change to lower aspect ratio (AR) tires. I'll make that determination when it is time to replace my tires.

Without changing tire widths, I believe going to lower AR tires should reduce/eliminate tire rubbing. Overall tire diameter is an issue for 21" wheels using the widths I that am using (265 front / 285 rear). The 35 AR tire tire diameter is 1/2" larger while 30 AR tires are 1/2" smaller than the diameter of the factory tires (on 21" wheels). In general, we need to stay as close as possible to factory tire diameters to ensure the car's systems operate as intended. I'm sure you know there are both pros and cons to using larger tire diameters vs smaller tire diameters ... however they will be less obvious between 19" wheels vs 21" wheels. Finally, your going with 9" wheels all around will make them less likely to rub.

Thanks for the reply. Stock 245/45-19s are 27.7" diameter so I was going to go with 265/40-19s which are a slightly shorter 27.3" and an inch shorter than your current 21s. Close enough not to mess up the factory geometry I think.

We're buried in snow right now, so be a few months before I do anything, but I will definitely post what I find.
