Too bad they can paint one in chrome before they could paint one in Lunar Titanium![]()
How is this an attempt to pump the stock? As an investor, I'm not happy with what they're doing with this marketing tactic other than to attempt to pump the stock. All these presentations and materials cost money, our investor's money, and the ONLY thing they should be doing now is deliver Gravity to customers that have already preordered. When more customers get their hands on Gravity and the public starts seeing more driving around, it'll bring in more customers. This event better fare VERY WELL or I wouldn't be surprised the stock drops even more.
Easily could have owned a Sapphire by now.61k shares? Damn, that's deep commitment.
So you're saying the chrome plated Gravity and the materials for this presentation are free? What about shipping this Gravity to NYC studio? And wrapping it if it's not chrome paint? The personnel required to organize this event? These stuff aren't free...I respectfully disagree. The cost of a couple of instagram reels is basically nothing, and hosting an event at a studio they're already paying rent for is hardly a big deal. And this is a brand that most people have never heard of, so trying to catch a little viral lightning in a bottle is not a bad plan.
What *will* be very disappointing is if they can't follow this up with deliveries, or at least clearer answers about deliveries. They're increasing the buzz.... which is needed for a car brand with microscopic market penetration. But there needs to be some steak to go with the sizzle.
If I haven't spent $500k on buying LCID shares, I would be shorting this to oblivion ... Engineering is great, but common sense lacks...How is this an attempt to pump the stock?
As an investor I see this as a marketing event to create brand awareness, something Lucid can absolutely benefit from. I'm all for it.
I've never publicly said this but when I was visiting the opening of the Pasadena studio. I spoke with the sales person there, and I mentioned that I've been waiting for this specific studio to open for a very long time. He told me Lucid operations forgot they had the lease to this location, and it was not until a new COO was hired, Marc, did an internal audit revealed they held a lease for the Pasadena location but were not using it.
Now take that with a grain of salt, but I can tell you that location was "coming soon" for a very long time. It is pretty much right in the middle of Colorado, and I bet the rent was not that cheap.
So as an investor, the example above is something I don't find acceptable. However, spending money to generate brand awareness and excitement for a new product? I'll vote for that with my 61K shares all day everyday.
