Whelp...Two days into my ownership....Was unable to connect to carplay mid-ride. (Kept "spinning" saying connecting to carplay.) Finally, when I arrived home and tried to use "unpark" for the first time, the pilot screen went completely black. Did a quick reboot and all's good as new LOL. Having followed this forum for a while, I knew to expect a couple of bugs throughout my ownership, but like others...I just gotta say. I LOVE this car.

Wireless CarPlay is at the root of most software weirdness. YMMV, but I went back to wired and I haven't had to reboot since then (admittedly, only a few weeks, but impressive given past performance).

Thanks! Something to consider. Will see how it goes over the next few weeks. It's VERY early (for me). Have been trying to make more use of the Lucid Navigation, which frankly seems pretty good to me. It remains to be seen whether the traffic data is good enough for the NY area. The more I use Lucid Navigation, the less I'd use Carplay anyway. (Music generally via XM, not iPhone.)

This so much. Wireless CarPlay seems to be hit or miss in almost any vehicle that has it.

Yeah, it's not a unique to Lucid problem, but man, it is annoying and it's been very surprising to me to discover how it seemed to have the capability to mess up everything audio at one point or another. Life is so much better now that I have accepted that I need to just plug in my phone when I want CarPlay.

I just use Lucid navigation. It's fine. The only thing I use CarPlay for is playing music and podcasts. (okay, I'll admit it, also text messages).

Lately, Lucid's nav has been generally fine for me when navigating to a place that has an address.
It's not useful or competent when trying to navigate to POI without an address, like a trailhead or other landmark.

Very similar situation with you. I try to use Lucid built in apps as much as I can, and it's working...

You may notice there is a Podcast app built in (Pocket Cast). It is decent. It has replaced my Apple podcasts almost entirely. It takes a few minutes to create an account, then log in the car, then add the favorite pods in it, but once you do that, works just as good as Apple Podcasts.

I am also Tidal subscribers for many years, so I use that a lot. The interface is horrible, but I manage.

+1 I was happy to see that Pocket Casts was available on my Air. It's one of the best podcast apps available on Android platforms.

Thanks...was considering whether I should ditch my podcast app for Pocket Cast. I rarely listen to podcasts outside of the car, so glad to hear it's reasonably good!
