Lucid Air
I just got my air pure few days ago. I’ve paid for the surreal sound pro system and I’d like to be sure I have the system in my car. The music I hear in my car doesn’t sound similar to what I heard during my demo of the system. I’ve also tried playing an Apple Music song that is spacial audio and Dolby atmos enabled and I still dont see an atmos icon on the dash or hear sounds coming from different ends / speakers of the car. Is there any other way to check?

The only services that support Atmos right now are either:
1) Tidal (w/ the Hifi Plus plan). They were offering a 3 month free trial, but I don't remember if they stopped doing that; if they are, you'll find it in your online dashboard.
2) USB Audio (where you would download or rip the Atmos-encoded files yourself, and then put them on a USB stick)

Thank you. Ill try tidal to confirm.I do see a 30 day option in the tidal website. Can you elaborate what you mean by check the online dashboard for the 90 day trial?

Choose an Atmos track in Tidal. If the track doesn't display in Atmos, the car won't play it.

Try playing this track in Tidal....

Bumping up. I tried Tidel still not impressed. Is there any way to physically check, Like menu? Speakers, Sub or something, I do not find anything to confirm that I have SSP other than my Invoice. I think they made a mistake on my car.

I had the same question, but I am by no means an audiophile. Other than the immersive sound you get from several Dolby Atmos songs, I am similarly unimpressed. Unfortunately, the kind of music I like is seldom recorded that way. As for whether or not you have it, I think the easiest way to tell is if there are any speakers up higher than your head on the semi-vertically angled frame pieces between the front windshield and the front windows.

By have ssp, do you mean you have the hardware or that it’s enabled or playing?

Hardware availability, easiest way to check is like buffalo bob said to see if you have the height speakers. Those would be two grills next to your head on the a pillar.

For if the software is active, ability to play atmos on tidal is the most definitive, otherwise if you know how to listen for it you could move the balance all the way left / right and see if the midbass moves with it. Surreal sound basic I don’t think runs the woofers in the front, all the midbass would come from the deck woofer.

It's been quite a while since I tried, but I didn't think you could adjust the balance at all when playing Dolby Atmos.

Meant to say in a standard stereo track. If you have atmos you don’t need to adjust the balance and thus you have surreal sound pro.

The only way to listen to Atmos is by using the native Tidal app (or with USB as @borski suggested). You can't play Atmos through Bluetooth or CarPlay.

To truly test if you have it (assuming you have a Tidal subscription), play this track through the Tidal app:

Did you find out? I also would like to understand where to see in the car (from a speaker perspective etc.) if a car has the SS or the SS Pro and also if a car could be upgraded to the SS Pro... Thx

The SSPro cars have an extra speaker that runs up the A pillar. You should see two speakers on each A pillar for SS Pro. You should also feel a bass speaker by your left foot (it's hidden behind the trim).

Ok, thanks for the explanation! Got it...

Log into the lucidmotors.com website. There is a section there for upgrades. If you have SSPRO it will tell you. If you don't, it should show as an option for upgrade.

Another option it trying to play a Dolby Atmos track via Tidal in the car.

Upgrades in the lucidmotors.com for SSPro were only for earlier vehicles. I believe '24 models and beyond with standard SS don't have the physical speakers to be upgradable.

Right, but the lucidmotors.com website lists all available upgrades and the ones you’ve already upgraded. SSP will either be listed and already upgraded, available for upgrade, or unavailable. The last two mean it isn’t in the car.

Thanks - I was able to play the Atmos (TIDAL)songs 👍🏻

You can also play Atmos tracks via USB.
Hi,
Can you pls help to suggest the correct channel Atmos testing audio files, which I could download from the internet and have it on a usb drive to try out inside the car?

What Surreal Sound Pro 'Atmos surround' channels come on the Lucid? 7.1 atmos channels? or 5.1 atmos?

I googled and found a website and if you can point out to the correct Atmos audio file to download and test, I'd appreciate it.
e.g. https://www.demolandia.net/downloads.html?id=4336731

Thank you & Rgds,
-mxp
