What is put x$ down on downpayment mean? Is that included in your total lease costs?

The down payment is what you input into the Lucid lease calculator on their website to offset the onsite credit and referral credit. You’re not actually paying this in cash. The Amount Due at Delivery are Taxes, Fees, First Month, minus the Onsite Credit and Referral Credit that you put into the Down Payment section.

Got it. Thank you. Anyone know what Lucia is using for residual on the cars at the current lease rates?

I still dont get it. I am paying $550 a month on a pure 2024 for a car with a 74.5k msrp and put $1200 down including first months payment. I “only” got the 5k on site and referral credit. How are these lease prices slightly higher with a much more generous credit? I think you get 7.5k ev credit and than another 7.5k and then 4K on site plus referral. Lease prices should be much lower with all this! I’m confused.

Only thing that makes sense is the “rent charge” is a lot higher now… in which case these credits mean the lease deals aren’t better than they were before. They are still very good but not better. Am I right? Or am I missing something here

With $1,

The Pure is now $544/m in July 2024. In June, the same deal would have been $586/m. It’s definitely lower month over month.

The rent charge on my lease agreement from 06/30/2024 show a Rent Charge of $3,815.

18 m lease, 12k miles, NJ.

Thank you. Yea I’m paying $550. My rent charge is only $2200 or so if I recall. So my point is, compared to April of this year the deals are about the same. They just increased the rent charge (money factor).

From what I’ve seen, the 2023 model lease deals were the best in April 2024.

The 2024 models declined in price between June and July.

It’s all plus and minus, they increase the Air Credit, reduce the Onsite Credit, reduce the residual value and increase the Rent Charge.

Whether you leased in April, May, June or July, the Lucid lease deals are great.

Yes they are. All good deals all within a close range. Agree!

Starting 07/01/2024, for those buying or leasing an EV in NJ, the State of NJ now charges an additional EV Registration fee of $1,060. The State of NJ still does not access sales taxes on EVs but the added $1,060 EV registration fee can exceed the sales tax charged in other states on 18 month leases. On a longer term lease or a purchase, the $1,060 registration fee may still be lower than sales tax. There are now proposals to phase out the EV sales tax exemption in the future.

Could you link their lease calculator?

EDIT: looks like only some states are eligible for the $7,500 Air Credit...see #9 on the bottom of this page. https://lucidmotors.com/offers

Go to https://lucidmotors.com/configure and click on the calculator to estimate your payments. To find a vehicle outside of the limited selection shown online, you’ll need to get a vehicle URL from a Lucid sales advisor. You can DM me if you want an introduction to my sales advisor.

From my understanding, every state, with the exception of SC should be eligible for the lease program. Lucid Financing is limited to the 6 states listed. You can always get 3rd party financing in the other states. The Referral Program is not available in OH and VA.

Thanks for the info. I still haven't heard back from the Lucid contact who does email me general promotional emails. I put in my zip code on the calculator and it showed both 7,500 programs. This seems to contradict what it says on my link, above:
Available from Lucid Financial Services for lease and in select states (AZ, CA, CO, FL, IL, MA, TX and VA) for financing. Leases and financing from Lucid Group USA, Inc. (and subsequently assigned to a financial institution which may be Bank of America).
