The article implies that Nio is producing the batteries and will be placing them in cars in the near future. They really make a big deal about the 650 mile range per charge but it's a 150 kWh battery.
There were two items not mentioned in the article that I wanted to know - price and charging time.

Yes, I should have said Nio is producing g the car not battery. Thank you for the correction.
 
It's actually "semi" solid state - the cells have a lower proportion by weight of liquid electrolyte than standard cells. But all that matters is capacity, price, stability, charging rate.

It looks like very expensive: semi-solid battery without the car is about $45,000. Thus, you can only buy the car without the battery. You rent the battery instead of owning it.

Nio ET7 with normal Lithium pack is around $59,063 (both car and battery included).

Nio has swapping stations so it's about 5 minutes. DC charging is 135kW so it's about an hour to get filled.

You can fit more normal cells and get more kWh in but the car might look as big as a truck instead of a sedan.

Yes. According to this website it is much lighter and smaller than a traditional battery pack. But...it is easy to make claims...delivering on those claims is the real test.
