NJ is a two plate state. I have been searching for a pix of the Air with front plate to see what it does to the look of the car. Any idea where I can find one? I have a reservation for a Pure (10/2020) so it will be a while before I will see delivery.

I'm in CA (two plate state). I have no intention of putting the front license plate.

I was just as curious as Massachusetts is a 2 plate state and you can't get your car inspected without the front plate. I finally saw a picture of the Lucid with one and obviously while not ideal it wasn't quite as ghastly as I had feared. Sorry I don't remember where I saw it but I will watch for it. It was a random picture too, not one specifically showing off the plate.

@PhotoEye posted pics of the Lucid here with front license plates. I haven’t seen any others.

Like @RichMallon, I’m also in Massachusetts and plan to have front & rear. Rich, did you hear about your Lucid this past week?

@pam4_AGT : You can get a legal license wrap decal in California. If I were there, I’d opt for that: https://licenseplatewrap.com/ And why did you quote the AIr Dreams Delivery post above? I couldn’t figure out how it’s relevant to this question…

Sadly no. I am afraid since Red were the first ones in the first round which seemed to go through December confirmations that the color scheduling will flip when they start doing VINs for the next batches including January & February. Did you hear?

That was the picture I saw, thanks for linking it. I keep thinking about using double sided tape to get through the Inspection process and then removing the plate after but I think I will just accept my fate.

Thanks, much. I scrolled down the Air Dream Deliveries? post and saw Photo Eye’s car. Grateful for all the helpful shares and comments from you all.

Hey, you never know. I thought the same thing as well. I wouldn’t be surprised if your DA hasn’t finished calls yet. It seems like everyone who confirmed into January (or is it only through December?) is getting an update call. Check your voicemail?

I got a courtesy call a week or 2 ago just checking in with no new news but that was it. It is the one call that even if I am with a client I will excuse myself and say I have to take this :P
They don't know it is just for a car.

I am hoping, but not too optimistic, that I get it for a weekend trip I am taking to Pennsylvania May 20th.

I am still very glad to have upgraded to the AGT so I can enjoy it this summer otherwise I think it would have been into the late summer or fall for the Touring

That’s hilarious. Same here. I was late to a meeting because my DA called. He takes priority over everyone.

I did get a “nothing new to report” call from him about two weeks ago then got the more informative call on Friday. As @pam4_AGT hasn’t heard anything yet either, I think you’re right that the calls are only going out to December confirmations. It seems that Lucid does things in batches. My guess, simply based upon production goals, is that Lucid is accelerating production times, so the gaps between batches will be getting shorter. I’m hoping to get the car by end of May so that I can test a Boston to Williamstown roundtrip run. My kid’s finishing up the school year there.

I ran my 2016 Panamera GTS with only the rear plate in MA, although had to velcro one on the front for inspection. Never got ticketed for no front plate, but some towns are obsessive and will ticket. Did not dare run without the front on my 991 Turbo S here because it was too much of a LE magnet, although was never stopped in three years of driving it for any other reason. Clean front bumper does look better, but not worth the risk to me anymore in two-plate states. Will definitely mount the front plate on the AGT wherever it arrives.
