Wireless Charging doesn't work for my new iPhone 15

Just Upgraded from iPhone 12 to 15.
The 12 worked fine. Although you really had to push the phone down into the slot to get it to charge..
The 15 doesn't charge at all. With or without the case.

Anyone else with latest iPhone 15?

I’ve never had luck with the wireless charger, so I got one on these. Problem solved!

Nice device. Thanks for sharing. Unfortunate though that I have to buy a special accessory for what should be basic functionality these days. Especially in a 6-figure car... 😢

You can take it into service and they'll move the charger around. I had the same issue and in my case the charger was not aligned correctly.

In my case my Pixel could charge but wife's iPhone 14 wouldn't.

Mine works, but I have to only push it into the slot just a little bit, it's too deep and it stops charging. That's for all my devices. You can Chrck out the twraps mod for it or Bobby's wedge solution

That may well be true, but we try to stay away from that narrative here. The price of the car has nothing to do with it. I’ve seen way more expensive cars that have no wireless charging at all. I’ve seen really really cheap cars that have excellent implementation. Please review the guidelines of the forum. Thank you.

Thanks for the suggestion. Worth a shot..

I tried to edit the post, but it wont let me. Feel free to remove the 3rd and 4th sentences.

I have the 15 pro max. No issues. When I installed an additional charger into the 2nd slot, I saw the original charger was not clipped in fully which was causing it to not charge sometimes. It is just quality control issues Lucid needs to iron out.

The video shows my old phones 12 pro max.

We have been asking how you did it.
Do you not want to share @AlignTrex ?

You would have to pull the trim piece out (at your own risk) and mount a wireless charger to the back side. There are slots already build in for OEM chargers. So technically you could order (if they let you) and mount Lucid’s oem charger right into the 2nd slot. Plug and play! Lucid for some reason decided not to put both chargers in, but it supports both.

I went with a wireless charger and mounted it to the back side of the phone slot. Cheap and easy.

Thanks for the information. How can I go about opening the charging pad

@Bobby i used your wedge to retrofit the passenger slot to be a wireless charger because I'm able to wedge my phone in the original spot for charging. So it works out!

Do you have a video or pictures or anything of the install?

I guess they figured not many people carry two phones at once? But I bet many people on the forum do... Also it would be nice redundancy if the 1st slot goes down. Maybe Lucid should reconsider this low cost change in the future?

UPDATE:
mobile service was at my house for an unrelated issue. We got it to work by taking the case off and turning the phone upside down :)
I also talked to the service manager separately. Asking if maybe there is way to move the sensor around. He didn't think that was a possibility.
Anyway this is not a high priority item for me..

Twraps is a forum member. If you change your mind and want to get the very cool dual charger, I'd ask him if they work with the iphone 15. The variable is how thick your case is....
