They are. Talked with my technician when it went in for service and they told me the aero covers were designed to never be taken off, hence it's more of a permanent solution, that's why they damage the rims and inside paint.

This is why I had them take mine off before delivery and I’ve never put them on. Didn’t even want to risk it. The extra 20-30 miles just aren’t worth it to me.

Just took mine off for the first time to clean and definitely scratched the rims. I guess I have a choice to make. I’ll probably leave them on.

Even if you leave them in, the vibration causes scratches.

I think you can get one when your car is serviced.
