I took my first road trip last weekend. Phoenix to Denver - 857.3 miles, 283 kWh, 3.0 mi/kWh. On 65mph roads, I generally set speed at 74mph, and on 75mph roads, speed set to 84mph. Being my first road trip, and recognizing Electrify America can have some issues, I probably charged more frequently than needed. I hit EA in Payson, Gallup, Albuquerque, Santa Fe, Wagon Mound, and Trinidad. Quite a scene at the Walmart in Gallup with a teenager wanting to check out the car in depth, calling his grandma over to sit in it. Was fun to show them around it.
Car performed great. Charging was fine (before this trip I had only plugged in to an EA charger once, just to make sure the plug and play worked). I found myself moving away from highway assist, favoring adaptive cruise. I just preferred to handle the steering. I swear highway assist has a magnet which moves it towards 18 wheelers when I pass them. Heading back for the return trip Thursday.
As an aside, I filled the frunk with all my rinse less car wash gear. As you can see, it was much needed.
