Well, I'll be off on my first (I hope of many) road trips in my Touring Friday. We took a day trip to Redding and back to get my feet wet a couple of weeks ago. I'll be going to Loma Linda, then Scottsdale and Tucson before returning again through Loma Linda. Trip looks fairly straight forward with charging options along the way. I'll let everyone know how it goes.

If you start at near 100%, you can target the 1st stop at Kettleman City for lunch and charge there. If there is a problem, you will have enough range to go to Bakersfield even at 70mph in Pure. There are others who charged at Walmart Barstow on the way to Phoenix that I know of. Have fun.

I'm planning on stopping at Harris Ranch and charge while I eat

I took my first road trip last weekend. Phoenix to Denver - 857.3 miles, 283 kWh, 3.0 mi/kWh. On 65mph roads, I generally set speed at 74mph, and on 75mph roads, speed set to 84mph. Being my first road trip, and recognizing Electrify America can have some issues, I probably charged more frequently than needed. I hit EA in Payson, Gallup, Albuquerque, Santa Fe, Wagon Mound, and Trinidad. Quite a scene at the Walmart in Gallup with a teenager wanting to check out the car in depth, calling his grandma over to sit in it. Was fun to show them around it.

Car performed great. Charging was fine (before this trip I had only plugged in to an EA charger once, just to make sure the plug and play worked). I found myself moving away from highway assist, favoring adaptive cruise. I just preferred to handle the steering. I swear highway assist has a magnet which moves it towards 18 wheelers when I pass them. Heading back for the return trip Thursday.

As an aside, I filled the frunk with all my rinse less car wash gear. As you can see, it was much needed.

Looks like you did your job of removing pests from the environment. I agree, I like the adaptive cruise more...

I traveled from the Central Valley to Santa Fe, NM, via Kingman, AZ, except a snow storm closed I-40 east of Kingman. So it was a delightful detour south through Phoenix to Tucson, then across to Las Cruces before turning north. Had poor EA experiences in Kingman and Casa Grande (go figure). Great EA experiences everywhere else, including Bakersfield, Barstow, and Tucson. FYI if you're heading east of Tucson be sure to charge in Deming, NM. That was a tip from a fellow charger in Tucson. I was surprised to find there are no high output chargers in Las Cruces.

BTW my Lucid GT performed flawlessly for that 2400 mile trip and I wasn't shy about enjoying some speed on the open roads.

Day 1 was so much fun. Drove to Harris Ranch and had barbecue beef ribs while car got up to 97%. Then southbound and left the 5 to travel through some amazing wildflowers through Antelope Valley before dropping in to Lima Linda on I 15. Met my granddaughter for dinner and then found a charger to take it back to 90 % from 14% before bed. Used a 150 and was pulling over 170. Off to Scottsdale this morning with 1 stop in Quartzsite. This is an amazing car to tour in!

Oh, my, look at that front windshield. I can hear "Lidar sensor blocked" all the way here. Are you even allowed to drive a Lucid in buggy conditions? This isn't a Rivian, you know ...

Was in Quartzsite yesterday, be prepared to wait and then get a slow charge. I was pulling 5kW and had to unplug and retry. Then 20-45 bouncing up and down.

Avoid the Buckeye Walmart. 3 of 4 chargers not working as of last night

Yikes! Those are the only 2 between palm dessert and phoenix!

I found the same thing at Quartzsite. Got it to 65% and took 60 into Phoenix were I charged to 80%. Fabulous 2 days on the road.

Given the significance of these 2 stations, should we, EV drivers and concerned citizens from the adjoining states of Calif and Az, petition for some divine intervention from states and/or federal? Or is this just an exercise in futility?

Futility. For us Air owners, go slower and skip those 2, because we can.

I can’t imagine this would hurt. Always be a squeaky wheel

We’re lucky in that regard, but for those with lower range, this matter is grave. Some simply can’t do the SoCal-Phx trip.

At midnight, CS sent me a f/u on the profile issue and asked if the son's phone was linked to his profile. I told her that it was set up by the DA upon delivery.
For the Waze issue, CS had no question but hoped it wouldn't recur.

I use the EA charger in Indio when I 'commute' between San Juan Capistrano and Scottsdale. Only need to charge 1x. I don't really want to stop at Quartzite and, like you said, the Buckeye chargers never seem to work.

Likewise, between Redondo Beach and Prescott, I charge once in Indio. Major Tip, use station #2. Driving to Redondo Beach from Prescott, no need to charge.

Is there a known way to do this? I would contribute
