Ordering and Delivery: Lucid Air Touring

when the status on the dashboard changes to "in production" with a VIN assigned, does it actually mean in production? or could it just be a status change and crickets for months? i'm currently metal roof and wasn't expecting production to start yet, but my status changed today. looking to delay delivery as long as possible. thanks
I think so. My AT went from ordered to "in production" after I confirmed with my SA of my AT configurations. Then after about 1-2 weeks, it went from "in production" to "preparing for delivery" and another week after, my DA called me letting me know that my AT had arrived at Costa Mesa.

The DA explained the features. The car had no issues, couple of minor things I point. Lucid stands by their product and the service is first class.

Thanks. Congrats to you too on a great car. I plan to do ceramic coating. DA mentioned couple of detailing places. He said OC Detailing in Fremont is good. He mentioned another place let me find out.
Congratulations! I pick mine from Milbrae this weekend. Are you planning to do Ceramic coating and PPF and Tinting. Assume you are in the Bay Area, which store are you planning to use. Am working through getting quotes in the bay area based on pointers from this loverly forum.
The other one is sfbayareadetail.com

damn, maybe i got unlucky (or lucky) in that right when i confirmed my metal roof, they started batching it? i only did metal roof because my situation requires me to take delivery at a later date, and my SA said that's the best bet, even though they are technically in production already. thanks!

It's ok. I believe you can still postpone your delivery to a certain time. For exactly how long you have to ask your SA tho

Just got a call from Lucid stating that they needed to postpone the delivery to Sunday due to the car needing a cable replacement. Apparently FedEx didn’t arrive in time for the part to get replaced, hence needing to reschedule my delivery to Sunday. Sad day for sure but glad the inspection checks everything.

Hello all! Getting ready to sign my PA and noticed sales tax was not charged on it.
Is this normal?

When I go to register my car does that mean I'll need to pay the sales tax at the DMV? I'm in WA

This is the way it works in Texas, no sales tax on the purchase order. I had to hand over a check for the sales tax when I registered the car.

Happy with my vehicle. I picked it up on March 4 in Chicago (Goose Island) and drove it back to Indiana. Christian and Hannah are the best DAs. It was great working with them.

Yes, that's the way it works when you purchase a vehicle from out of state. I was incorrectly charged the sales tax by the first DA I worked with. The second DA corrected the mistake. I will be getting a refund.

Got mine today at Tyson's Corner, VA.

Took about an hour at the showroom, then drove it to a garage to get the inspection done. The inspection was paid for and arranged by Lucid. Was very quick!

I never seen a GV60, but my guess is Air has more cabin space that Genesis SUV crossover.

The GV-60 is shorter (lengthwise), but taller. However, the Lucid interior is roomier.
