Why only DD Premium in new available Airs?

Just realized that all new and available Airs in the US and CA store have DD Premium, none has DD Pro.
Find this surprising and was wondering what the reason could be...

Just closing out the model year’s inventory (which they do at the end of every model year), and the DD Pro vehicles were gone first.

But is there a hardware difference between Airs with DD Premium and DD Pro? Isn't it a feature that can be enabled via software? I thought you could purchase it after taking delivery?

DD Pro comes with more hardware like LiDAR for example.

You cannot. There is additional hardware (lidar, cameras) included with Pro.
