I ordered my Lunar Titanium Gravity in November, 2024, and still have had no word on a planned build date. Why is the Titanium so difficult? Way back I had an indication that Q1 2026 delivery was expected, but now they have no idea.
 
its seems to be they are not producing the Gravity at the moment.
We have heard two things: waiting for parts for the 2nd row seat, or, they have too much unsold inventory and are clearing it out before accepting any more orders.

We have "heard" from Lucid officials that Gravity deliveries are temporary on hold for a second second row seat issue. People have speculated that there is over inventory and that is why Lucid is not accepting orders. We have not "heard" from any Lucid source, it is only speculation. I personally doubt the speculation.

That unsold inventory speculation doesn't pan out for me, on the available vehicles site there are currently 216 Grand Touring available. That's a pretty low number compared to when I was tracking the site multiple times a day in November when there was an average of 309 Gravity GT in inventory (the lowest was 229 and the highest was 403 in that period).

Unless they're sitting on a bunch of inventory they haven't added to that system (and I'm aware that they use a production spreadsheet to track a bunch of that pre-VIN assignment) I can't see that being a reason at all.

When I picked up my GGT, I overheard one of the staff talking to another customer and he said that the Titanium turned out to be so reflective that it messed up the sensors. The delay is to work on a fix. Take that overheard remark for what it's worth.

How many Gravities have been sold in total? 216 in inventory seems like a lot to me but they don’t break out Gravity versus Air sales in the 16k that were sold last year.

I’m assuming all the ones in inventory were part of the stop sale as well. Deliveries are only just starting again apparently.

I remember them saying "well into the triple digits" which means....less than a thousand. So 200 in inventory, assuming the early adopters already bought theirs, is quite a bit.

There's no way to know really, the site was fluctuating a lot over November into December but I got my Gravity through the site the weekend of Black Friday (buying an in stock one to replace the one I had on order) and took delivery on 12/19 so I stopped tracking it. There's no way to know how many sold through the site vs orders vs "inventory" on the Lucid backend. I'd guess a good percentage of the sales starting in late August and into September were Gravity over Air just from seeing people get their deliveries here.

Based on what was on seeing the final assembly line during the October Family day open house at the factory, I would estimate a ratio of 3 Gravity to 1 Air. That was a small snapshot in time so the ratio for the Q4 could have been much different.
 
They finished 2024 with ~9000 Airs produced, with ~3000 in the 4Q. Even if Air production drops to 2000 per quarter thats 8000 Airs, if they hit guidance of 25-27k, thats 17-19k Gravities. So I doubt they producing more than 2:1 Gravity:Air.
 
This is purely my estimates based on the limited public data. Based on the flyovers, I agree it was closer to 3:1 Gravity:Air in Q4. Take it with a grain of salt...unless someone from Lucid is willing to share 😀

Sold or produced?
 
Off topic: I was the one told inventory reached a level where 'Order' got shut, yes, from sales associates. They're busy managing. What, I don't know, but it sounds better for customer-facing peeps to go with this than some universal fix. The March incentives brought back the $5k Tesla (+Riv) bonus, left alone conquest and loyalty, lowered APR from 1.99, to 0% and, as I was informed, brought in a limited "3,000 Regional Sales" incentive. Further inquiry revealed it's exceedingly few, but some "VINs", in some regions (zip codes?), are getting it. It doesn't show up like the others do. Of course, Lucid doesn't volunteer stock or VIN numbers, just available configurations when you hunt. So, one has to ask. Together, I'd speculate higher incentives and inventory-only sales may be an attempt to make lemonade, from some needed fix.
