Why is the Pure RWD so much lighter?

I was saying that it took several guys to replace the glass on the windshield/roof. I wasn't saying that it could be replaced with metal. Sorry for any confusion

The half-shafts which are the two driven axles from the motor to the wheel ends will have some impact on the weight difference in addition to the motor itself.

First, comparing curb weights, even from the same manufacturer, is notoriously difficult. Lucid makes so many running changes even their own documents and delivery centers often trail behind. Add in some advertising license and who knows. If you really want to know you have to weigh them. Even then expect some variance for the same model and same trim level between individual cars. As for the Pure RWD vs Touring let's start with drive train. Pure lacks one motor/differential/controller unit. Maybe some wiring, or not. The previously mentioned hald shafts and CVs. The battery pack, size or supplier. Then equipment that is standard. Auto closing doors, the motors/hinges/actuators etc. Self-closing Frunk; even bigger hinges and rams to raise the hood. Glass roof, or not. Tire wheel package. leather interior vs vegan leather (whatever that is). Stereo (Atmos speakers, more robust amp etc). The small things; Alcantra head liner. If somebody includes options like the seats, heated/cooled/massaging. Those go for over 100lbs each. Frankly, I wouldn't be surprised if a base Pure didn't weigh 1000 lbs less than a Grand Touring fully loaded. In between there's lots of room.
