As much as I love how my Lucid drives, I still wouldn't mind a bit more sportiness. Nothing crazy, but I'd love:
  • A quicker steering rack;
  • Sport seats with more aggressive bolstering;
  • Firmer springs and sportier suspension tuning for a bit quicker turn-in response;
  • Lightweight wheels and sportier tires;
  • Upgraded brakes
This wouldn't be a trim level, but rather, a simple package that one could specify on any particular build. Tons of cars back in the day used to offer a sport package (and still some to this day) and I'd love it if Lucid could get to the point where something like this would be feasible. At the very least, sportier seats would be fantastic - my torso has almost no support as I *ahem* explore the capabilities of my Air.

So... a Sapphire? 🤣

But seriously, a "Sapphire" with the Pure RWD/Touring drivetrain would be great!

The 20-way seats have great side bolstering. Makes me wish I could have gotten them in my touring, but I wanted real leather instead

I've sat in those and while nice, they aren't quite as supportive as a Recaro style seat you'd find in an AMG or M car, which is what I'd prefer.

One just went for $200k

Yesss please. I feel like there's just too much of a gap between the sportiness of the Sapphire and the regular Air. While the 20-ways are nice, they still don't have proper twisty-road bolstering. I too would like to see something akin to a sapphire-lite. The 600hp Touring and 800hp GT are fast enough in a straight line, but I would upgrade in a heart beat if you could get some more of a handling package in the regular Air.

I don't know, I think the Air is a perfect grand touring car, not a true sports car. Going to swift mode is all the sport package I need. I'm all for exceptional brakes, but with regenerative braking I hardly use the service brakes and they are quite capable as-is.

Now I would be interested in a diet package that removed a 1,000lbs from the car :cool:

yea no doubt its a great GT. But I would personally like something sportier. Maybe akin to an M5 or RS6 level. Power+ bucket seats, RWS, quicker steering, lowered suspension, etc...I can also see not everyone being into it. Some people might find all the sporty pretense to be uncomfortable

All the marketing around Air being a GT and a tracktoy revolve around the Sapphire...which is great, but our cars are not mini-Sapphires. It's much more akin to a low-slung S class than an M5
